The one thing they’re in control of? Withdraw their support?
The point many have been making is some fans and an MP questioned Mike Ashley’s suitability as a football club owner because of how he treated people. Now they’re asking if the same fans and MP will ignore the way the new owners treat people simply because they’ve got more money and might spend some of it.
It’s that simple, really

Tbh most clubs now have to live within their means, even Chelsea and City are not splashing the cash like before. a knar they spent £100m but you know what I mean.

What’s a football club? If it’s about who’s got the most dosh then what’s the point?

Id rather we built a side of young lads who love the club and could develop in to brilliant players.

I know a City fan who maintains his best memory of the club is the Gillingham playoff comeback.

Money isn’t everything.

Newcastle fans made it about human rights in the first place. They rightly brought Ashley's horrendous working conditions up and used that as a way to protest against him but then a regime with links to ISIS and mass murder have come in they're not that bothered as they might spend money

I remember a City fan wishing us well after the LC final, but also telling us to be careful what we wished for. Stuck with me, that did. Got the impression he felt he'd lost something as a fan despite the money and success.

Aye but we sell those lads as soon as they’ve value. Got far more joy out of Jermain Defoe on big money than Henderson for example.

Being honest. If the takeover happens, I can reluctantly accept that. If they buy the league and Cup every season, it will hurt, but I'll accept that

What I will never ever accept will be the inevitable mouthing of from Wraith, Chi, and anyone who ever held a bedsheet, that somehow they had an influence in it. Yet you just know that's the first thing that Staveley will say. "Because you never gave up, we never gave up". And Chi will be re-elected because she "got the takeover done".

I wonder how the British government are going to react to the news a bunch of terrorist sympathisers and murderers are about to come aboard. Personally don’t think it’ll go through as human rights has been at the forefront of everyone’s minds in the last 18 months. Can see sponsors pulling out soon like

I won't be going back to St James' and as I don't have a subscription for Sky then I won't be supporting them indirectly either. I think this is a shameful day in the history of Newcastle United and I'm done with them.

Their links to the Saudis won’t go away. The likes of Amnesty International will not let their protests drop. In fact the takeover is good for them because it gives them a bigger voice and more coverage due to the Premier leagues high profile.

Theres a massive shit storm heading the mags way.

I worked for a City fan about 5-6 years back. He was from Teesside however his Dad was a City fan and he had been going to Maine Road since 70's.... not a glory seeker at all.
He said the same.

Probably not bat an eyelid since there's already countless deals between the two countries and has been for decades.
Its not a new thing. Its a new thing for football in this country but football's purity is long gone too. Unfortunately this is where it leads.
E.g the Confed cup used to be in Saudi every other year and now Qatar has a world cup. Last World Cup came a couple months after assasination attempts with nuclear material in THIS country obviously on the orders of the head of that state Hardly anybody cared after England beat Panama or whoever the f**k it was.
