Who gives a fook... We are Sunderland! Our stripes will always be better. City are plastic as fuck, a shadow of the proper maine road citeh - the mags will become just the same (if it goes through)

I can remember talking to some City lads at Wembley and they seemed to hate the club they had become. Although they all wanted success, they hate the plastic set that have turned up.

I think the news of this takeover potentially affects us quite badly. Whilst they are bang average and not competitive, we have a good chance of competing with them for future support. Even when we’re as lowly placed as we currently are. If they become good and make genuinely eye catching signings then our club has a problem in the future.
That doesn't bother me one bit. Our club is, seemingly, on the right path. I'm happy with that

They are, but is the issue not more that if the Saudi state is behind the group, then the geezer who seemingly signed off on beheading a journalist would have to pass a fit and proper persons test? I mean, no doubt they aren't arsed about beheadings, flinging gays off buildings and the likes as long as there's no piracy, but if they accept he's effectively the head of the group it would certainly raise questions when they wave it through
I dont understand how there investment fund can sign players with the princes money but he isn't involved?

Is it just ignored because they've gave bein 1bn towards the next contract renewal for the Pl rights?

Of course it is, he'll still be standing on his chair in the press box singing Blaydon races during the next Derby game.

The local Mag press pack have got the national moralistas to keep on side and stay cosy with. There’ll be some initial tutting and shrugging for effect but they’ll be blowing the dust off their adidas brown ale entertainers tops, writing about the resurgence of the sounds and smells of excitement as they scale the grand steps to the Cathedral on the Hill once the dust has settled. They’re very transparent

So someone drops someone else a billion and all the issues with separate entities miraculously goes away. The money is still coming from the Saudis, and they are the government. Now we all know how corrupt the PL are. ( we knew anyway) but I wonder if the mags are going to continue to campaign against them?
Not now they joined the corrupt top table
They’ll are be voting Tory now
Chi needs to watch her neck

People will laugh it off as paranoid but not many clubs in the country get as shit a covering as Sunderland from the local media. Its like they cant even be arsed.

Thats fair enough. But the club being ‘on the right path’ is dependent upon being sustainable through raising our own revenues and talk of increasing our young fanbase in Co Durham particularly has been discussed before. Having a club in the region that has unlimited resources very much puts that sustainability in jeopardy.

Do your fans still have a problem with the corrupt PL now it's passed after Saudis dropped a billion quid onto one of the PLs investors.

Will you still be protesting?
I said exactly this hours and pages ago before I got told to step in front of traffic etc.

For me, it shows more than ever that bein were lobbying the PL - this is an admission of that. It reaffirms the corruption we all knew was happening. I have no say, but I hope they continue to push for the open process for us all.

So thats a no then.

Thought so.

Great set of lads PIF, flew a murder team into Turkey, lured Khashoggi back to the Embassy and then cut him up with a bonesaw in order to dispose of the body.

Source - The Dissident (Amazon Prime)....well worth a watch tbf.

Chairman of PIF is Bin Salman.
