Is shite news like, any self respecting Sunderland fan will dread the day these ***** do well. And if you think the Saudis won’t significantly improve them then you are mistaken.
Who gives a fook... We are Sunderland! Our stripes will always be better. City are plastic as fuck, a shadow of the proper maine road citeh - the mags will become just the same (if it goes through)

Yet here you are when you have something to crow about trying to justify your acceptance of this takeover. Nope, I haven’t confused you with anyone else. Hang your head in shame
No
I don’t know what he’s trying to achieve. He asked if I would stop going if the Saudis bought the lads, I said I would, and I would. In a fecking heartbeat and never look back. He said hell still go. It’s on him. Just be honest and say your ok with mass murdering feckers owning yer club.
Ok. Im not ok with it, but I guess I’ll say I am. I think there’s probably a halfway house?

Look guys, I’m not going to try and defend Saudi Arabia. They’re *****. There is no denying that.
When the original deal was agreed, I struggled with it and how I would react. In the end, I decided I would continue to support the team but I would do whatever was within my (very limited power) to protest the human rights abuses in SA while still supporting my team. You can argue the rights and wrongs of this, but I have come to terms with this.
If you would give up supporting Sunderland if PIF bought them, then you have my admiration. I’m a moral man but at the end of the day, I’m not going to turn away from the club I support. If that makes me a terrible human then so be it.
Guys @rocky

Aye a billion dollars in compensation to Bein for the piracy...this is what has allowed the takeover to now happen.

A billion dollars paid at the drop of a hat makes the actual £300 million to but the mags seem like chicken feed.
So someone drops someone else a billion and all the issues with separate entities miraculously goes away. The money is still coming from the Saudis, and they are the government. Now we all know how corrupt the PL are. ( we knew anyway) but I wonder if the mags are going to continue to campaign against them?

When I was younger I despised them now I just worry about us tbh

I think the news of this takeover potentially affects us quite badly. Whilst they are bang average and not competitive, we have a good chance of competing with them for future support. Even when we’re as lowly placed as we currently are. If they become good and make genuinely eye catching signings then our club has a problem in the future.

Would have died off ages ago if it wasn't for all the kicking and screaming and mps in parliament etc. Really is a joke like

Yep...everything else is now irrelevant supposedly.

States are allowed to own football clubs sadly
They are, but is the issue not more that if the Saudi state is behind the group, then the geezer who seemingly signed off on beheading a journalist would have to pass a fit and proper persons test? I mean, no doubt they aren't arsed about beheadings, flinging gays off buildings and the likes as long as there's no piracy, but if they accept he's effectively the head of the group it would certainly raise questions when they wave it through
