Pathetic and embarrassing chanting

so after a cracking win last neet your first thought this morning was to post this drivel, did you go to football in the 80's or 90's you would of been crying yourself to sleep ya wet wipe

p.s. CONTEXT get it
I've been mulling over this post more and more and the moronic toxic masculinity it portrays is just staggering

to equate strength with shouting vicious nonsense in a mob at someone just doing their job based on their ethnicity etc and going on to suggest that standing up to such behaviour and calling it out as unacceptable is weak just shows how very very very stupid you are

Whilst I see the Ops point....my overriding sense from last night's game was pure elation....it is by far the most comfortable i have been watching the lads in years....the kids and missus had a great time..and we were totally buzzing.
It's a shame I guess that not everyone had the same experience
The OP said he had the same experience in his opening paragraph

daft singing?

is there some unwritten law that means in a football ground this sort of nonsense is acceptable? you don't think children and non Neanderthals should feel welcome to watch their team?
Depends on your level of offendability I suppose. I, for instance, would be offended by outright racist or homophobic chanting, and would, if it was near me, either confront those responsible, or if I believed that was inappropriate, for personal safety for instance, I would inform a steward. Stewarding staff at all grounds have clear guidelines, if it was offensive enough to be illegal, they and the police would deal with it. If however, it was the two chants highlighted by the op, I wouldn’t say they were anything more than sledging of the opposition. I take no offence at posturing against an illegal terrorist organisation, and the fact that charlie wyke isn’t a sex offender should tell you it’s merely banter. The only person who should take offence at the latter is mr wyke himself, and if he hasn’t, like many footballers seem to do, taken to social media to condemn it, then why would I find it intolerable. As I say, and I mean it, if it’s that offensive, find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon, (or a Tuesday night in this case).

I’ve been pissed many a time but I’ve never had the urge to call a random bloke a sex offender for ‘banter’ and giggles.
Neither have I, but chants of this nature have been part of football for at least the last 50 years I've attended games. I'm old enough to remember the Charlie George superstar chants and similar in the 70s. I doubt any of those singing about charlie wyke last night really think he's a sex offender and were no doubt signing his praises when he played for us.

so many of the utter clowns supporting this behaviour as part of supporting SAFC are the same that think swearing in front of women and children is verboten and that women who swear are nigh on whores on the road to perdition

where else do you find this behaviour acceptable? that you find taking issue with it is the bad action here is just remarkable

it is unacceptable and it should be condemned
It's A Sign....

Completely agree. Thought the Wyke chant is the most embarrassing thing I've heard from our fans in a long time. If anyone wants the genesis of it, it's Newcastle fans singing the same about Cristiano Ronaldo a few weeks ago.

At least they had good, well reported reason to chant that about Ronaldo
