Summer 2022 Schedule

England have announced their fixtures for next summer.

3 match test series against New Zealand in June.

All white ball cricket in July, 3 T20 and 3 ODIs against India, and then 3 T20s and 3 ODIs against South Africa (Durham hosting an ODI on Tuesday 19th July).

Summer then ends with 3 tests against South Africa.

Blast finals day is very early this year - 16th July at Edgbaston. No doubt leaving August for that other monstrosity of a tournament
New Zealand again?

The Oval once again given a Test a year despite our dreadful record there.

Good. Wouldn't want to miss my annual trip to the Oval. Just wish it was one of the earlier Tests each year as you have to be lucky with the weather in September (as we were last weekend)

Lords and the Oval are always going to be picked. It's just a matter of which grounds get the others. I wonder how much money the ECCB makes from an Oval Test compared to one in Cardiff or Southampton.

you'd celebrate if we lost like

You'd be telling us how it was down to missing Jos Buttler, or how Colin de Grandhomme is better than Sobers.

Edit: or how the groundsman didn't produce a green enough wicket.

Er no missing some of our best cricketers

I mean if you just wanna lie its fine.

Really? Before I really took notice of cricket tbh so I’m more used to how it has been with at least one 5 match series and usually a 3 match thrown in.

Ashes used to be a 6 match series in the 90s with no other tests.

Don’t know what happened when the likes of the WI got 5 test tours here.
