Your first boots?

60’s - early 70’s Adidas Santiago

felt like leather skin

sure first ones I had were moulded then screw ins from about 1970. When the nylon skin got worn the studs became nasty

Got picked for Silky Juniors about '76 but didn't have any boots...
Remember me nana coming in to school and them letting me out of whatever class I was in to try them on...
As the match was on the night after school.
Sure she got them from Newbles or somewhere down Blind Lane....firkin bright Yellow they were, but remember feeling mint as they had screw ins and were making a right racket on the parquet flooring in the reception area 🤣

A shit pair of leather Patrick that weighed a ton once they were wet. These were followed by a decent pair of boots. Puma King hand me downs from a cousin.

Stylo, was over the moon the get them, they were aweful, or maybe it was me.
Can anyone remember Hummel Tuff Spin boots, swivel studs , sounded class but was a disaster

Same here you could do some damage with those studs
Aye the auld man got me a pair from a second hand shop next to the Museum Vaults .When I twisted he said I'd be crippled wearing those nee fangled sandshoes as he called them .Mind I think it was dad talk for I'm not wasting my beer money on a pair of fancy boots for the boy

Only ever had one pair as I was utter shite and didn't even get onto the school team. They were Mitre ones. Black with a blue logo. They will have been the cheapest ones in the shop I imagine.
