England v India (Third Test) Headingley

Love the way Malan drives the ball.
He’s the one I’ve been most impressed with tbh. Looks a much better player for his T20 knocks now than he did when he first came into the side, very organised and knows how he wants to score and defend. Think he’s looking a good pick at 3 imo

I know what you’re saying

it’s all debate

I just don’t think enough people take into consideration how harder it is to play half your cricket in England

those pitches in NZ for example and remarkably flat to the point a lot of the cricket is terrible to watch.
What a shot Malan
Fair enough mate as you say it’s all good debate. Root is a fantastic player in the form of his life and it’s great to watch.

Reminds me of the eternal Messi v Ronaldo debate. We are blessed to be able to see 4 of the best of all time batting at the same time and it’s made for some brilliant series. Can’t really pick between them - root is the best to watch for me though, just scores better and rotates the strike better for me

Never claimed he would. Merely that there are certain similarities between him and cook, and cook wasn’t the most talented by any means but worked very hard on his game and was so disciplined. No reason Sibley couldn’t go away and do similar and then come back a decent test match opener. Especially since the bar to get him back in the team is very low at the moment

Still has another 4 tests this year to play too, could be some year for the lad if all keeps going on this path
Hopefully the form he's in.He'll finally get that ton in Australia.

I mean I hope he doesn't just settle for one and scores 5 as he wins player of the series and the urn to boot.
