Which I have since proven they have/did. It was in direct response to what protesting achieves and I highlighted the other option that some of your fans took - they did it, not me 🤷‍♂️

Edit - Just to add further, posters on here in the past have talked about lost generations and how Hall stole Sunderland fans and made them mags when we were doing well. That was your own fans saying that some stopped supporting the club.
Well of course some fans stopped going we went from PL to Div 1 in the space of 2 years. It would happen to every club in the country. But you said it as a dig.

Then when asked about 10k of their fans giving up he dodges the question.
Haven't dodged the question at all. I didn't much see the point in it but I will address it. Season ticket holders were able to claim another free half season ticket because Bruce wanted the stadium full. It followed Rafa leaving and Bruce arriving. Fans were clearly voting with their feet in this instance, whether I like that or not. It was in combination with lots of other protests at the time. They have since returned. If you haven't noticed, Newcastle fans aren't a very happy bunch at the moment

I answered a question. This explains this set of data - what about the previous relegations to the championship? Apparently we only got good attendances because of Rafa and buying the league but you lot didn't manage that with Keane (who you lot idolise) who did basically the same thing.

I linked a few of your championship seasons though - which one was Keane?

Edit - Just checked, you averaged 31k that season - did you not also have a manager then fans loved and win the league?

tbf, the previous seasons we had broken the Premier League record low points tally, previously set by ourselves and were literally on the verge of setting a new English league record for consecutive defeats. it was a bit shit

I was challenged about protests and I have answered them - I really didn't want or intend for it to become a slagging match about attendances. Quite frankly, to have anywhere near the numbers you lot have after the shit you have been served up is impressive. I am not denying that. I am also going to point out that your numbers have dipped when everyone acts like Newcastle fans are shite and Sunderland fans are ace.

I am sure we all have better things to do than continue in this unnecessary back and forth. You lot will never admit that losing fans is shite and I will never admit otherwise or that protests don't work. It's a waste of everyone's time.

Are right I see.
Newcastle lose fans = fans clearly voting with their feet in protest.

Sunderland lose fans = fans clearly given up and stopped supporting.

Our dip wasn't sustained. Would imply the former and not the latter. Also, ours wasn't in response to dropping leagues.

Like I stated above, It is pointless in carrying this on. If you ask me a question directly, I will respond but if not, I'm done talking attendances.

This is completely and utterly different to harking on about your clubs success over 100 years ago that literally nobody gives a shit about and you know that.

You don't think fans stopped the ESL

Nobody gives a shit about?

Sinderland are often labelled a big club and a sleeping giant. We only had a 22k capacity at Roker Park so people do appear to care.

NUFC fans waffle on about their special relationship with the FA Cup but you haven't won it since the 60s 😂

When was the last time you were out drinking with neutrals and someone mentioned that sunderland won the league you know before their grandad was even born?

I have never once in my life 'waffled' on about a special relationship with the FA cup. More likely to get knocked out by Stevenage than win it.

Don't forget their love of the famous number nines.

I’m 46, you slurpers have protested about something since I was born.
Never happy, never your fault.

It's okay for you to do it and if we had done that (which we never have), it would just be LALAS

Last time you were there you averaged 27k to our 51k.
51k, would that be the season after Rafa took you down and Ashley threw an obscene amount of cash at the squad to allow you to bounce straight back?

Wonder how many you would have averaged if Ashley had sold any player of value and refused to sanction any further purchases leading to the club plummeting to the bottom of the division.

I have already made this comparison to the season you went down and Keane had money thrown at him and came back up - you attendances were still lower than the norm.
