Some good signs from the entire group, had Notts and Derbyshire on the rack in the first games we played against them - had we got over the line once we’d be through.

Had Essex on the rack too away of course, the less said about that the better but of the 5 opponents we faced we only lost to the former County Champions so there is certainly something to work from/to on that score.

Absolutely this about Notts especially the back chat I got off Fletcher, very arrogant. Someone said they have had ECB warnings this season about their on the field conduct... Unsure how true that is? The umpire was star struck by Broad yesterday mind with the lbw guessing. Good to watch a few days cricket as always, good craic.
 
Today to me has just highlighted how crap our first innings batting was because had it even been average this game was well winnable
Leaving aside the walking lumber of Sherward Forest which is Treebeard Fletcher and the beanpole Broad of bullshit appealing their bowling attack is really woeful as Evison ,Hutton ,James and the Pattison White kid are pretty awful.
It’s also shameful that Notts are a bunch of moaning twisty self opinionated whingers
I’m pleased we didn’t collapse today but disappointed that we didn’t compete in a winning way with woeful batting ( and the odd dubious decision) yesterday

Yup. I wasn't really impressed by Nottinghamshire. Yesterday was a killer and we only have ourselves to blame, I don't credit it to good bowling either.
 
The big question for me, arising from all the games in this competition, is .... what has happened to Borthwick? Even his century seemed more like an aberration than something repeatable unlike his form before he went to Surrey. The team needs him to do much better.
