Should have beaten them in the opening game, but feels like we've gone backwards since then, especially with the injuries and Carse to England. Best team I can think up is

A lot of Seam bowlers in that 13 do you think they have heard something about the wickets at the Riverside.
No news from Durham but they did manage to congratulate Carse on his debut international wicket so there is somebody home.

Be interesting to see what side we pick. Will Clark get a sniff? Will Jones open? Will any of the bairns be selected ahead of Salisbury?

I would prefer to see Jones in the middle order with possibly Dickson opening.
Not sure where Clark is in terms of is he just a specialist T20 opener.
Quite happy to see Salisbury return unless his form has completely deserted him. As far as Campbell goes if they select one of the academy players ahead of him I would imagine his days are numbered after what happened with the big Dutchman on Friday. Also Trevaskis having to isolate is unfortunate I would have had him in at Edgbaston. Possible XI could be

Trevaskis isolation should be spent so I'd have him included. Forecast suggests we'll get nothing close to a full 4 days play so happy to go with 3 seamers with Campbell excluded. Bit concerned that squad hasn't been announced yet.

Agree I would probably play Trevaskis if he is ok and could even still play 4 seamers with Ned batting at 6. Got nowt to loose really but definitely time Trevaskis got an opportunity in the championship.
 
At the ground in the sunshine and have to say it's the most extraordinarily short boundaries on all sides I've seen in 26 years watching here. Obviously going to try for a big score with a few sixes thrown in.

Still no squad announcement from Durham. Toss in five minutes like so we’ll know soon enough.
