Black's Corner plans to transform Seaburn tram shelter

Hang over from Victorian times when people didn’t have their cars parked around the corner to jump in when it rains. The people complaining now had the opportunity to object to the change of use application that went through a year back. The planning application was probably pinned to the wall in the shelter for all to see but as none of the nimbys use the shelter they didn’t realise and object.
This happens all the time. Big signs for 3 months on footpaths that are gonna be closed. Planning goes through with no objections then 100 people object saying “I use it every day”.

The people who want it preserved as a tram shelter that they never used and barely thought about until someone suggested doing something different will be outraged.

its unreal how people from down there dont want it to happen, f***ing unreal!!!
They feel as if the sea front is theirs and theirs only and dont want people off the “Estates” coming down to frequent the nice bars and restaurants what people are willing to invest heavily in.

Some of them are just stuck up fuckas, get over yourselves man

True like. Was ruminating similar about Durham the other day, where they're managing to replace a git massive block of concrete flat roof boxes from the 60s with a git massive assortment of flat roof boxes down on the riverside
Durham looks a bit of a clip these days. Making the most of the space mind.

Living in over priced, cramped three bed semi’s.

Heritage shelter :lol::lol:
You may mock but some friends of mine have just come up from London to see the shelter before it's despoiled forever. Bit embarrassing the way they've taken so many selfies in front of it for Instagram, but fair play, 78,000 likes, and one of their fans has written a song about it, though I'm not sure 'Tram Shelter, What A Belter' is going to crack the download charts.

Haven't really been down much in the last year but couple of times in recent weeks and would agree

People are welcome as long as they have good manners and don’t use coarse language in front of residents of sr6.
