Langham Tower

Do they have a Twitter page or the like? Is it not worthwhile drawing their attention to this thread, not to rub their noses in but to give them a nudge. They’ve obviously invested in this and are set to lose if it doesn’t work out.
What I’m reading from people who’ve been is it’s the basics they’ve not yet got right.

My Mam went last night with friends for a birthday. She said service was again horrific and next to no staff waiting on tables, food was decent but had to ask again and again for them to turn their heaters on. They eventually offered blankets and when they brought them over they were wet and said "don't worry it's only off the rain" So a shambles again.
Its almost like the owner is doing it on the cheap and is creaming it in while he can

I ran in to little Danny Turbo and couldn't resist throwing a few jabs his way about open air beanbags, noise moaners, and change remunerated in the form of shots of alcohol; bless him.

Well it's been another quiet weekend so far but it's the Ibiza event next Saturday with DJs and sax player. It'll be interesting to see if they manage to keep the noise down for that. Has anyone talked with the manager or the staff about the event? If so what are they saying about it?

I'm worried about the volume. On the previous weekends this style of music has been so loud that I might as well have been playing it in my own living room. He's charging a tenner a ticket for this. I'm assuming the average customer paying that will be very unhappy if he keeps the volume down to background music level. Something he'll have to do if he is to comply with the noise abatement notice.

Brother was in last week and he told him he was doing it inside ......Never been in the place so dont know if this is doable

I know that. I didnt think it was open yet or inside functions were even allowed yet
I certainly haven't heard of them being used yet. I haven't the faintest idea if he's allowed to open them to the public yet. Having said that rules and regulations don't seem to bother him much.

From the sounds of things on here it’ll probably be held inside whether it’s allowed or not. Sounds like they’re just funnelling a load of money through while they can before the inevitable closure comes.

I suspect you may well be right. From what the council told me he'd ignored a whole load of stuff he'd been told to do. That was following a meeting with the council, Police and Covid rule enforcement people. I only know about the noise and he certainly ignored their advice on that. So the noise abatement notice was served on him.

The council are aware of the event on Saturday though I have no idea if they know that it might be held indoors.
