IPL starts 9/4/21. Match schedule listing

I see a few of the Aussie players have gone home too as they're worried about not being allowed back home at some point. Fair does, there are far more important things in life than the IPL.

Are the teams staying at a handful of venues or are they jetting all over the country? Crazy if they're doing that.

The bit I don’t get, is that it’s very hard for ordinary Australians to get back right now. How come it’s so easy for cricketers?

Pretty sure Neil Robertson the snooker player hasn’t been allowed home, might be wrong mind
He has not iirc, was mentioned the other day but also there was mention of his dad coming over, if he gets to the final.

it’s all over the place with travel but I know for certain that my sons mother and father in law, went to Australia for Christmas 2019 and were due back early 2020, but are still stuck in Australia

You can get into Australia but you have to pay a lot for a flight (as they're at such reduced capacity) and for your own quarantine. BBC had an article a few weeks back about how loads of actors have gone from LA to Australia because it's less restricted (they're filming some things too). And the jist of the article was if you're rich you can get in, if you're not, tough luck.

Aus didn’t tour SA due to concerns about the situation there, but were quite happy to let their players go to India for this last month, when the situation was already starting to rapidly escalate. Financially led double standards

Kohli likes to big himself up as a man of the people always willing to do the right thing for the people of his country that are less well off than himself, on social media anyway. Time for him to put his money where his mouth is

This needs to end now and the players need to go home

same as England

Morgan wanted them home during that tour

they’ll just change their moral boundaries for money

it’s mental they’re still there, so inappropriate

yep, got a mate in London who can’t get back, he lives hand to mouth and has no family really to call on to pay for it

it’s an unfair situation

Jesus talk about tone deaf

Insane that the IPL isn't being cancelled. Maybe the BCCI is more powerful than the Indian government?
