Lockdown behind drop in COVID cases and deaths- not vaccinations

Or maybe she tested too early and didn’t have a sufficient level of the virus until she started showing symptoms? Did she repeat the left after she had been confirmed as having covid? That would be interesting to see if she still showed a negative result.
It was only a matter of hours before she showed symptoms. She didn't repeat the test as they were issued to her by the school she works at and were all accounted for apparently.

The LFT didn't work is what I'm saying.
But she at least did something beforehand. I would hate it if I got Covid not having done anything. Like a test of some kind.
It doesn't matter if he's right or not, the fact is we can't believe a word he said.

Not as tough as ignoring your posts you f***ing arsehole.
I have done for some time. Works wonders putting that gobby so and so on Ignore.

The innova LFT has a real issue with false negatives, it just isn't sensitive enough.

On this specific issue the government is spouting bollocks with regard to their spin on the effectiveness of this LFT, that's why they always refer to the incredibly low false positive rate (as a positive factor), of course it is going to be low when a high virul load is required to trigger a positive result.

Hope she's ok and on the way to recovery.

Don’t apologise, but I don’t believe you are correct.
The lockdown was weak as piss and wasn’t as effective as people believed.
The thought of the vaccine only coming into affect this week is laughable, it’s as if people believed that the lockdown was 100% effective and people didn’t get infected, where has this suddenly came from?
It was used as a tool to allow the economy to tick over whilst minimising infection, not eliminating it.

However ignoring the fact you you or I may be correct, my main gripe is people who haven’t had the vaccine, now have another reason to not take up the option.
Why spend months trying to persuade people it’s the answer to opening up again, then coming out with this.
It’s madness to preach the gospel then tell people there is no god.

Because of lockdown, main situations where outbreaks can happen haven't been allowed so how have the vaccines had an effect on reducing deaths, hospitalisations and cases when it hasn't been tested against the situations they've been designed in order to prevent/reduce those 3 things?

I kind of see your point. My concern is that we will never have the chance to discover its 'real world' success in limiting hospitalisation as the same restrictions we currently experience will be reintroduced the moment we creep back towards 10000 cases.

Just your daily reminder we wouldnt have even started the roadmap out of recovery if Mr know it all was in charge 😀
Just a bit rich calling anyone on here a paranoid wreck ( well done for spelling it right ) after what you were on here posting 12 months ago was an open goal to me.

I'm glad you have calmed down now but what made you like that matey ? Hoarding is not a crime, it's immoral but you won't need a top legal counsel to hide the shame.

Yes, but perhaps inevitably there will be 10,000 cases but the aim of the vaccine is to reduce deaths, hospitalisations and serious illness and make it simply a simple bout of flu so we'll see over the next 3 months whether the vaccines have achieved that.

This will require a sufficient period of time for the government to 'allow' cases to rise. It'd be great obviously if cases went through the roof but hospitalisations and deaths stayed negligible.

Fingers crossed we'll be out this mess soon then you can take your arrogant know it all self to another part of the forum to spout your negative bile. Remember calling for Asian style lockdowns while openly admitting visiting 'friends'? Like i said the best thing about the past 3 months is watching you scratch around to cling to any sort negotiate news. You probably get a warm sense of satisfaction knowing you are one of the hated posters on this forum. A arrogant bullshitter living in some sort of fantasy land. You've been found out on here a number of times yet you turn up still like nowts happened I could get really nasty but i dont fancy a ban

Calm down Robert, I seem to renting a space but you can't keep me to yourself.
Plenty to go round.

The worrying thing is the images of all the under 50s who haven't had their vaccine yet, were probably the ones creating the big crowds at shops, restaurants, bars etc and as witnesses on BBC articles said that very few people were maintaining social distancing, no mask wearing and basically didn't have a care in the world.

I'm living in Northern Spain so trust me, I've seen the effects of what happens when you reopen things and the younger generations have no consideration for others which is why cases have risen here and will inevitably rise in the UK. It's just hoping that the 30+ million who have had a vaccine gain some sort of protection from it.

Spain has absolutely no trust in their citizens which is why they imposed curfews between 10pm/midnight till 6/7 in the morning and bars and restaurants had to close at 8pm which was also a mistake. It meant people getting tipsy and then going back to someone's flat and having a piss-up there.

If they were to close pubs and bars for 10pm then the majority of people would go home because that's around their usual evening meal time and if nothing is open to take away, they'd just end up going home by themselves.

The one thing that baffles me is that this virus is worldwide yet it seems no countries have worked together to find a way to deal with it and instead have just done their own thing and make the same mistakes again.

That's what the objective is isn't it?
