"Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee acknowledged a "very difficult and tragic situation" unfolding at a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He made the comments as he began an education briefing, asking for prayers for the victims."

Unfortunately theres always gonna be one loop that gets access to daddies or mammies guns and goes on a rampage...
So while im fully against arming teachers surely it makes sense to have 1 that has access to a gun to defend the poor kids that are like sitting ducks .
The shooter might just think twice.

It's a really f***ing sad day when teachers have to be armed ffs. It's horrific, it truly is and I'm canny upset about it all.

There's a reason why these shootings never happen at rich kid schools. It's because those schools are protected by armed security and are designed in a way to prevent this shit happening (minimal and controlled entry/exit points etc). Everybody jumps to "ban guns!" when something like this happens but there are more realistic ways to try and solve the problem. Mental health and young adults turned into zombies by anti-depressant drugs also need to be looked at.

Tbf no matter who’s in charge this type of shit should always make the news round the world but when you look at how many make the news over here compared to how many shootings actually happen per yr its a small percentage that we hear about, not our country not our problem some might say dya know what i mean? Its happening half the world away from Columbia little by little it just fades away while all around the world its just as bad or worse, knife crime over here it’s not like we live in an oasis

Most State schools have a Sheriff or police officer on patrol. Many high schools have sniffer dogs as well............
