Does appear like Harte has left a bit of a hole in the team with him leaving. Had a canny knack of breaking partnerships when the main bowlers were tired or hadn’t been successful.

We don’t have a ‘fifth’ seamer in the current lineup.

50 partnership. No wicket in the first hour after Lunch...... 54 overs remaining.

as an aside, how dry is the outfield? no rain down there in the last few months

Supposedly he was a promising all rounder once upon a time, they seemed to think he was on the cusp of using his bowling but this was before his ban, no idea if he/they gave up on his bowling
 
Still all around it’s been a promising performance with key areas not really contributing.

we would have won this game in the past as we had our big players available. Still these lads have played well overall

looking forward to the Essex game as that will be a really tough game and will indicate how we will compete this year

No he was a very promising all rounder but has had at least 2 separate back stress fractures. Pity if he has had to chuck the bowling as he could genuinely bowl and is one of the best athletes in the squad.

aye, when he returned to the squad after the last stress fracture i asked at an end of season members forum if his bowling was on the radar of the club, the answer was non committal. not sure if he bowled at whitburn tbh. disappointing that he's one of the worst fielders in the squad given how athletic he is
