Yes, a pleasing performance. No shame in a draw, there was nothing in the wicket.

Lees - played well first innings before getting himself run out, 7
Jones - fielded well, batted poorly 3
Borthwick - useful leg spin, but didn't turn up with the bat 5
Bedingham - batted Well both innings, dropped a sitter but we will let him off 10
Burnham - looking a bit more collected than last season, useful partnerships with Beingham, dropped a sitter though 6
Eckersley - could be selected on batting alone 8
Poynter - decent behind the stumps, failed with bat 6
Carse - good with bat and ball first innings, expensive loose balls though 7
Raine - excellent with bat in first innings, good economical bowling second innings 8
Salisbury - took key wickets with some excellent away swing 7
Rushworth - some unplayable deliveries to take wickets, strayed down leg side too much, excellent with bat first innings 7
 
Frustrating end to an otherwise excellent and dominant performance from Durham. Solid start to the season nevertheless.

Never realised pp was a such a cricket fan
John major on marr this morning
Put him in his places when he asked what they talked about at games
Major said he couldn’t abide people going to watch cricket and then sitting waffling on about other things
 
It's odd that with Durham dominating for most of the match the team both ended up on the same points. But them's the rules I suppose.

I suspect he is only going to play List A and T20 now Borthwick is back.

We are going to need to play our strongest team, which - to my mind - will be the team that played Notts, with Young for Jones.
