now im not one to make wild assumptions but I bet its absolute dog-turd.

The entire album is played on the East Siberian Saxaflute or some pretentious bollocks like that (I may have made that up)

He really has disappeared up his own arse these days.

The track list doesn’t make it look any more appealing - Craig David, Shaggy, Herbie Hancock.

I think The Police were great. WTF happened to Sting over the last 25 years
i would pay good money not to listen to a millisecond of it

surprised he hasn't hired a martian to play on the album

I like WIlliam Doyle's music generally. He used to record as East India Youth. Vaguely electronic but he explores other genres.

i thought his East India Youth stuff was great but not massively impressed with the stuff under his own name. Gets a bit more folky for me.

Underrated band IMO! Biggish in Australia but thought they'd have done more damage in America and over here by now.

Agree, very much underrated. Oz/NZ have gone through a great indie/rock few years recently! (Skegss may be my favourite)
I guess with internet based music it doesn't happen so much now but its still odd when a band like that are really successful in one country and unheard of in another.

I was in Oz not long after Powderfinger released Vulture Street and I remember talking to an Aussie about music and when he mentioned them I was like 'who?' and he refused to believe I had never heard of them. He told me they were the biggest band in the world at that point

different times

The Living End are one of my all time favourite bands. Apart from some coverage in Kerrang 20 years ago when the second album came out they are virtually unheard of here.

They played a headline show at Melbourne Cricket Ground a couple of years back. Last time I saw them (2017), they were supporting the Dropkick Murphys. They played King Tuts around the same time.

Just stumbled across a sumptuous little album, Carousel, by Such Small Hands (Melanie Howard) this week.

It's from the autumn and it's relaxing and pretty. I was watching a live stream by The Wedding Present on Saturday, she's their bass player, and she mentioned our cup final coming up, so my ears pricked up. Not been able to find out much about her, like where she's from (Bandcamp says Brighton, but that's where TWP are based these days), but it appears to be on Bandcamp and Spotify. Stealing the Bandcamp description, "Taking in influences including Bjork, Portishead, Chelsea Wolfe, Sharon Van Etten, Anna Calvi and Joni Mitchell, Such Small Hands blends dark pop with twinges of quirky folk and electronica."

I take it that you know about BOB on Tim's Twitter Listening Party in about 40 minutes?
