I’m in my late seventies and must admit I went to Sid James and Ayresome Park if Sunderland were away. I just enjoyed watching football, no tv saturation then also went to Hartlepool.
This all day long. There was a greater sense of supporting the region back before Sir John Hall; it didn't stop fans from any club having a die-hard allegiance to one or the other. Just wanted to watch football. The habit of going to any game available was more pronounced in my father's generation than mine but I went to a lot of Newcastle games when we weren't playing at home in my youth.

Oh dear
Before you all cum in you pants with excitement its only until relegation has been avoided....(hopefully/fingers crossed)

"It is the Telegraph reporting that they have been told this morning that Mike Ashley has accepted the obvious, that Newcastle are in a relegation battle, which subsequently makes Newcastle United takeover talks meaningless, until the relegation issue is sorted"

you think someone who had a journalist murdered and dismembered would be bothered about that?

Not really but he walked away anyway.

Other new potential owners having the HMRC and this new possible case ongoing won't be appealing.

Never going to be the Saudi's

Read an article about brighton xg stats at the weekend, quite remarkable. touches in oppostion box is higher than manu and spurs yet near bottom of league ( basically implying fowards werent good enough) . Mind doesnt help when you miss 2 Ayrtons in a game.

They walked man. There is no takeover. My point was journalists still plugging a non story. The Saudi deal is dead. Perhaps you could ask our Uncle Stewie Donald to buy you

Yes but remember the mental health impact on the North East if the takeover doesn't happen.....
Almiron hasn't improved under Steve Bruce, it's just took Bruce all this time to play him in the position he is best at and was playing in when he first arrived there.
He just runs relentlessly like a dog on a beach. Can't fault his attitude, but there's not much football being played.

I think they're a better team when he is in it. I'd go as far to say if Wilson and Alimiron were both fit they would stay up.
They're in serious trouble no doubt about it. I know a few Mags and most of them are already expecting relegation and are not that bothered. It's not totally impossible that they could do what we did and go down two seasons in a row.

I think they had about 60 plus shots in the last 3 games and never score one goal.
