It’s gonna be proper touch and go but I feel like Brighton are the team to finish above ahead of Fulham mind. Next 3-4 games are massive and will probably tell us the answer. If we get through them with a 4 or 5 point gap we should scrape safety. If not, who knows, derby day next season anyone?

Biffo is going for 5 points..

Brighton - Draw (probably 0-0).
Villa - Lose.
WBA - They are dire, Win (1-0).

I wouldn't put money on any of those games.

Possibly draw against Brighton if we can keep them from scoring. We have no threat so don't see a win.
Villa and WBA will beat us no problem.

I think we are potentially looking at 1 point. Would say we need at least 4 from those. We could quite easily come away with no points. Villa will certainly beat us with ease.

Brighton will play us off the pitch, But they are struggling to score. Probably find their rhythm against us.

Agree about Villa.


I can't see how we come up with a way to best west brom, Allardyce will make sure they're hard to beat.. well we find all teams hard to beat tbf, but again, we're lacking any threat and have the 2nd worst defence in the league.

Probably three defeats in truth

Worry about Brighton's wingbacks, they gave us no end of trouble in the reverse fixture.

Any other manager and I wouldn't be so worried, but Bruce can't be trusted to tie his laces, let alone come up with a plan. It took him 18 months to realise we should be playing a 4-2-3-1 with Almiron in the hole. To be honest I still think we've enough to stay up. but it might come down to the last 2 games when, hopefully, Wilson, Almiron and Saint Maximin will be back.

Personally, I think you will survive by the skin of your teeth. Fulham have some difficult games coming up and a poor return from those games could demoralise them. Saying that I can see West Brom beating you as well as Villa. If nothing else it will be interesting seeing how it all unfolds

Brighton don't score many but I think will edge it
Villa is a similar home game to Wolves (NUFC more likely to lose than win but i reckon a draw)
WBA look absolutely hopeless and i've never seen a luckier win than what they got against Brighton

After we play WBA, villa and Brighton, we then have

Tottenham h, Burnley a, West Ham h, Liverpool a, Arsenal h, Leicester a, Man City h.

Then final two games Sheffield United at home and Fulham away.


I will be surprised if we get 10 more points.
 
Its at the point where 90% of people don't even care if relegation happens, any club that has Steve Bruce in charge and is run by Ashley deserves to be relegated.

With ASM and Almiron missing we should play Fraser and Murphy with Gayle up front. I expect Bruce will play Joelinton up front with Atsu and Hendrick on the wings.
