Aye, really wanted him to be a success in the Test side but he just never managed it.Stewart
Salisbury was amazing in the county game and gash for England.
Azar went there after 2003ish . Not sure if he was part of the first t20 win for SurreyNice one, was thinking Pakistani but could only think Azar Mahmood
Another I wanted to do well for England but just couldn’t seem to do it.They also took Ramps from Middlesex in 2002
Definitely and they had a lot of chances, I think their inner belief was lacking at the really top level but being fair to them, it coincided with some of the best Fast bowlers and Spin bowlers that there has been.Another I wanted to do well for England but just couldn’t seem to do it.
Probably hoy Hick in that category too

I’m not 100% about this but there was a test , I think in the 90s, where Bob Taylor took the gloves, having been working in a sponsors room earlier in the day. Someone got injured and he was asked to stand in
must have been in his 50s
Talking about hick and ramps facing. Ambrose, Walsh, McGrath, Warne, Pollock, Donald , Waqar and Wasim. That was a tasty era for bowlersWe never really had what you'd call a world class bowler either. Gough and Gus were as good as it got....
Cheers. Was a weird thing to see that happen.Sure it was 86. Bruce French was injured I think.
England’s main problem in the 90’s was that arseclown Illingworth.
Are you thinking of James Boiling before he signed for Durham in 95 ?Ian Salisbury was part of that side for a while too, I’m sure he played with another spinner but I can’t remember who.
It was Saqlain I was thinking of.Are you thinking of James Boiling before he signed for Durham in 95 ?
