I might have scanned over it and got the wrong impression there then. I thought he was making a link between Trump and Hitler in caging kids.
Which I'd say is reasonably fair.

Did you watch Song of the South? I watched it just recently out of interest. I didn't find it all that bad to be honest. Obviously its not something that would get made today, but you can't judge the past by today's standards.

I had radio on during thursday night and it was on headlines all night, thought it must be bad then someone posted it on Facebook last night and I was shocked how absolutely nothing it was. Basically saying that it wasnt Nazi soldiers who started beating and killing Jewish people but their neighbours who started it off after people were turned against them. You could argue that in this day and age she was stupid to speak her mind and not play the game. I'm all for freedom of oppinion and cannot stand the faux anger and hypocrisy and double standards whereby only extreme left wing types can use Nazi comparisons.

Which is correct, but there's always that golden rule that you can't invoke the nazi's when making your point, or you automatically lose.

Your right to a point but you will never lose if your a far left extremist by saying it, you get a free pass. I'm all for anyone using Nazi/Stalinist/Maoist references to highlight a point against totalitarianism as opposed to just slurring prople you disagree with

Nazis here, nazis there, nazis every f*cking where! It should be a word used as a reminder of the absolute worst of how humanity can be. Now it's cheap insult thrown at anyone with different views.

Anyways, on to Gina. She's been called a nazi on a daily basis for over half a year now. There has been a sustained campaign on social media to get her fired since she publicly rejected the calls for her to include her pronouns on her bio. Now that's some toxic fandom right there!

As for the post that finally got her fired. Sure, it's a really clumsy way for her to make a point. But it's also accurate from a historical viewpoint and is in no way anti semetic. Given her own experiences lately of online hate, you'd forgive her for a little bit persecuted. Especially given the past behaviour of Disney itself, but also the social media posts from Disneys staff. Even her co-star colleague used a concentration camp meme and his career seems secure.
