Be honest! Hypothetically, if you were indiscriminately banned from here, never again allowed to post, how much would it effect you? Are you addicted to the extent that it would be a serious issue for you. I must admit, this place has started to become a platform for me to vent, share jokes, catch up on news etc while on my own during lockdown.

If you are attached to the forum, do you think it's unhealthy? Would it be good for you on the long run if you were denied access? Does your partner find that you're on here too much.

Maybe a slightly odd thread but it got me thinking. Ami too reliant on it and wondered how other people view their own usage of it?

Without doubt place feels like home.
Been around a long time now. Our friends in the North the perfect description.
As for being banned, No bookings or red cards, the Swindon Gary Lineker.
The mods just feel sorry for me, who wouldn’t supporting that load of shite.
 
I know I spend far too long on here and should probably find something else to do ☺
 
I think a list of things that could get you banned would be useful. Then we would know what not to say. I guess if you were banned you could still view Hank's footy post etc.
Must admit I tend to use RTG as my Sky News, quick run through footy, SMB and politics tells you what's going on in the world with the added bonus of opinionated drivel to help one form an opinion :lol: :lol:
 
Its a big part of my life, sometimes I hate it, it can make me angry but wouldn't be without it. There's always something to make me laugh and entertain and its a great resource for information on many things, including dog showers, cmon where else do you get this kind of variety 😁

I currently spend more time on smb rather than pure football which is just a sign of the current decline in the football side of things.

I spend much less time on here, than I once did, so being off here permanently, wouldn't be a great hardship to me.
The board, as well as many posters on here, still have lots of good & worthwhile points, but imo, this place isn't as good as it once was, some 10-15 years ago.
 
I doubt I would ever say anything that got me a ban, but I’d be gutted.

I recently was permanently banned from a fb group focused on uk supermarket craft beers. I’d only been a member a couple of weeks, and it was shite and was about to leave when a clearly popular poster, put up that pic of school lunches that was doing the rounds with a pic of some can of beer added to it with the caption “it could be worse...”. It must have been some in joke, I have strong feelings on food poverty and I messaged to say it was crass and tasteless, and within seconds a load of fellas rounded on me calling me all kinds. Clearly pals of the OP. It was embarrassing. Moments later I was banned- all I was pissed off about was not getting the chance to leave and say how pathetic they are.
 
It's the equivalent to the the pressure cooker letting off steam. After the season we are having (as usual) it's nice to let off steam, unwind,have a bit of a laugh. Ready for the next round of depression coming up .(The next game) . Sense of humour a must.Nice to know most of us see the same things in the matches,same garbage performances from certain players.
 
Is be pretty gutted. Reckon I'd have had to have been pretty bad to earn one. It would be that which would bother me the most.

And I do rely on this place for a little break out here and there. Quick check between meetings or a dump time. Then a few checks in of an evening. Its routine.
