Riding back tonight on 2 week old hybrid though at first had front flat tyre handle bars wobbling. When checked tyre ok, managed to get back but while riding front wheel wobbling... Any ideas what could be? Hopefully wheel not buckled 😕
Tighten everything up? Skewer on correctly?

Check the spokes?

Very rare you'll pop a front one mind.

Any local bike shop should quickly check it over. Where did you get it?
Tredz

Had no problems with last bike got off them, bike felt fine until halfway home to night slowed down to turn and go up a bank then noticed something wasn't right

on another topic I need a new set of road wheels for summer bike..
Not wanting to go too daft price wise (£500 ish) and rim brakes and clincher.....ideas or suggestions welcome.

not be needed till Easter or so
Can't go wrong with Ksyrium Elite. You will probably be able to pick up a brand new pair for £500 if you shop around, or you could keep an eye on that ebay- a couple of years ago I got a pair of almost new ones on there for £199 (plus p&p like) - nee one else bid on them.

what rim depth are they ?
Do fancy something mid depth if possible....shame American Classics have gone as I’d love another pair of the 420’s

Them American Classics were a bit showy-offy though but. I'm more of an understated elegance kind of guy.

brilliant wheels...had the 58’s that I used for non disc wheel windy TT’s

Im still liking a bit aero in my wheels

BTW, yesterday I saw some of the GB squad riding through Wilmslow and none of them were wearing gloves - is this some elite rider thing wot I don't know about? It was fkn freezin an all - when they stopped at the lights they had their hands tucked under their oxters trying to thaw them out.

very much so...I suffer with the cold in my hands so always have very warm glove options.

Heard a few pro’s saying how they don’t do gloves in winter...Luke Rowe etc all giving it the macho bollox

Seems a bit weird. Why would you wear mitts in the summer and then have completely bare hands in the winter?

You'll be telling me they don't wear underpants next 😂
might be a topic already covered on these pages, but whats the deal with choosing between 700c & 650b wheels? in looking into some gravel bikes i've spotted that some people are often choosing the 650b's, why? i haven't really found out what the benefit is these smaller wheels?
It depends on what tyres you want to use & can have a bearing on the frame geometry that the designer wants to go for. With a smaller 650b wheel rim you can fit fatter tyres and have the overall outside diameter of the wheel be pretty much the same as a 700c with a narrower road tyre. If you want to accommodate fat tyres on 700c you might need to design longer forks/stays for greater clearance. I wouldn't have thought there would be any noticeable performance difference between 650 & 700 to the average human, but maybe someone will tell me different.

Just been announced that the 2021 national hill climb championship will be held on Winnats Pass, Oct 31st.
Whoever wins that bugger deserves more than a medal. I think I might ride out to watch that one. I love riding up there but the idea of racing up the bastard turns my brain to mush.

Anyone else having trouble changing from the wahoo kickr back to the wheel? I'm using shimano 105, didn't expect to be playing about with limit screws on the rear derailleur everytime I swapped. I'm not very mechanical in the slightest. Probably gonna have to look at buying a cheap bike to put on the turbo.

got a dedicated old turbo bike...avoids the pain in the arse of swapping all the time
