A majority owner should be somewhat better than Juan and his 20% mind.
True but Juan is now interested enough to bring someone else in but not clearly not interested enough to sit there with 20% whilst watching Donald sell off our best talent at age group level.

They’ve brought in this Speakman with an emphasis on youth and everyone is buzzing for it but they’ve already sold a lot of the young players that should be involved; Hugill, Mumba, Pye etc.

True mate but you know yourself that the cost of going up probably outweighs what the club value would be.

It’s going to cost him decent money if he wants to be challenging at the top and Donald is only gonna benefit from that whilst not putting a penny in.

Anyone buying a football club will know what that cost is and how much they think is reasonable. It's obviously ticked a box for him, and the good thing is that while we can question whether SD and CM even have the means to do this, we can never say that about KLD.

@Guinness Guzzler I doubt it'll matter mate. Whether it's 51% or 60%, neither moves the needle anywhere but forward in terms of his commitment to us, he'll know that the profit margin is still potentially enormous at 51% because of the relatively low price he's got his stake for.

Also just saw you mentioned some health news - best of luck with your treatment, hope that some good news is coming on this to keep the spirits up. Been a wild ride but some closure would be a great step.

But the value of the shares in the club will rise nonetheless because of the increased status. Standard profit-based valuation methods simply don't work in football, as most of the value is in the perceived goodwill element relating to league status. The club's infrastructure also gives an asset value disproportionately high for the division. In any event, I suspect that the real trigger would be promotion to the PL, not the Championship.
Why is the asset valuation disproportionately high tor L1? You mean in terms of rates liability I assume?
