Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Never bought into the SD/CM heroic saving the club garbage. Came under criticism on here for urging people that most owners end up being hated by fans at some point - see Ashley Mike. He was popular at the start...

They obviously thought 'Buy the club on the cheap, get promoted, spend as little as possible, sell it on quickly and make shit loads' and they've seen the size of the job and bitten off more than they can chew.

I hope wherever the new 'takeover' power shift whatever, takes us that people keep things calm next time.

I do think that the structural changes and planning in relation to recruitment, long term strategy, the academy etc that we've sorted in the last few weeks are the start of the challenge. Sacking managers each time won't work until we make significant changes like those mooted.

No. The last thing they want at the minute is to have to answer any questions.
They’re all full of shit anyway.
Thought that they were obliged to have a meeting, regardless if they want to answer any questions. This has been rumbling on now for weeks, to the point where you quoted a couple of times a mid December ate, followed by a week or two at the end of November. Then on the 2nd December you said now is the time to act and the club had been contacted.
Well, here we are in the middle of December but it now seems that you don't want to ask them because they won't want to answer any questions. So when will be the time?

I found Donald very endearing and personable. Thought he'd do well by us. I was wrong. Never took to Methven tbh, smarmy prick.
I found all three of them, early on, very likeable. Had a good few chats with them individually.

Enjoyed football, the banter, a beer and they seemed like kids who'd found the keys to the sweet shop.

We have seen why, to our cost.

Firstly, I only joined this forum this year, not two and a half years ago so what are you referring to?
We all know that the current owners on Donald and Methven in particular deserve criticism. But Gordon should come clean about wanting to be involved in the inner sanctums of SAFC.

No one denies that the current ownership deserve criticism and questioning. Gordon has an agenda though in that he’d like to be involved in SAFC.
Donald and Methven have been disgraceful,
You’re treating your opinion as fact whilst treating facts as opinions

I never got that with Donald, it was obvious he was talking utter shit immediately, his story on basic facts changed from day to day, and he tried to tak out a huge loan 2 days after he took over

The writing was on the wall, those podcasts were some most cringeworthy things I had ever listened to

I said all this at the time, virtually on day 1, and got absolute dog's abuse

I may talk utter shit on 99% of things, and be a total twat, but on this I was sadly proven right.

No idea how people were taken in by them personally, I guess people would have just welcomed anyone.

I'm genuinely baffled by it, it was clear why they were hear from day one, and then we appointed Richard hill and Paul Reid!

And ex Sunderland players got dogs abuse for trying to warn us it was the wrong move for the club like they had an agenda, about a club they support but 2 chancers with no connection didn’t.

:lol::lol: fair play fella. You’re not like but made me laugh.

I was totally taken in by their schtick...all it took was some enthusiasm and changing the seats.

It’s not that. It’s your constant backing of them over our loyal supporters and the good of our club.
Maybe one day you’ll realise what they were really about.
Ian i dont blame our fans for hating what these have done.
i do think we would have had a better chance with the German group, but we cant change history and we need to move on, hating these will not change anything just make us more bitter.

Not really, I wouldn’t hate them if they fucked off for good and by holding on, they are feeding the hatred. They need to move on not us..... oh I forgot you can’t see this

That comment about respecting them putting money in was a terrible take though wasn’t it

Alarm bells started ringing for me when at his first press conference he said you don't need to spend money to get out of this league, just instantly thought he was a chancer

No reason why KLD couldn't be getting his personal clearance in place while everything else is finalised. The EFL will already have reviewed the club's 20/21 budget for FFP purposes, so any changes consequent to a takeover would fall under routine monitoring.

No. Everything was legal. Where you stand on it is a moral issue, not a legal one.
Totally hypothetically....if SAFC Ltd went into administration could the administrator sue the directors of the business for not fulfilling their duty of acting in the best interests of the company when they wrote off the loan receivable?
