Really strange team selection that mind. How the fuck has Power wriggled his way back in? Neil and Embleton not even on the bench, I know Parkinson hinted Embleton would be missing but it’s bizarre to leave out Neil all together especially when Power and Grigg have came back in and O’Brien has managed to keep a place on the bench.

obrien was the worst player on the park on tuesday night. every one of our academy lads looked better than him. yet he keeps his place on the bench. on what planet could parky possibly think ' aye, i know what we need in this game, o'brien, that will sort it out'

Today has to be the day for Grigg....i feel like this is his last chance saloon, even this early in the campaign.....
Last chance saloon games ago for most folk.
Unbelievable he's still getting anywhere near the squad, let alone starting 11

It'll be interesting to see how Power, Scowen and Grigg link up if it's the same formation.

Grigg won't drop as deep as Maguire, I wouldn't have thought.
It’s been confusing all season. Hence why some people think it’s 3-4-3, some 3-5-2, some 3-4-1-2 etc

Sometimes maguire and gooch have been competing with power and scowen for the left and right cm spots, sometimes they’ve been stuck up front with wyke and gooch has played Borge left and right wing back. They’ve played every position bar centre half and the position they should actually be playing.

------willis - wright - onien--------

gooch - leadbitter - scowen - hume
----------------power-------------------
------------ wyke -- grigg

??
That's right, I think.
I can only assume that Burge isn't fit. I also think that it's a risk playing Willis (I thought that O'Nien would take his place). It's a drag to see Power back in, but I'm not surprised to see Maguire omitted.

Like many, I think we have 2 dodgy keepers and Patterson would have been a better option. I do think that a 4-4-2 formation would be better in this game, but I'm likely to be proved wrong by a different formation.
