Microwave Ovens

2 years a go ours was on its way out, I binned it with the intention of getting new one, never did and have to say haven’t missed it, it’s only for the odd time you have ready meal that it would ever come in handy, everything else can be done on cooker

I’m hoping to build an outdoor kitchen if I have the space when we move. Been looking on instructables at tandoors, quite easy to make. Look on gumtree for people selling granite worktops, save a fortune and look class.

There’s a fair bit to plan and I am still in two minds about the layout. I’m considering polished concrete with a colour put through the mix, but I’d need to knock up a sample before I decide. Mainly to see if it’s something I can do myself.

I use ours to eradicate, with extreme prejudice, all the cats that shit in my garden (see dog thread)

Not a fan of concrete myself, should be able to do it yourself though. Watch a couple of YouTube vids and you’ll be an expert. You going to have smokers in your setup? I’m fancying a hot and cold smoker in mine.

No one really needs a microwave , in the same way as no one needs a kettle in their kitchen when they have a hob but it’s convenient at times and better for the environment than running a conventional oven for many jobs

Should be on the telly, you.

You need to make the tandoor yourself on a pottery wheel and kiln dry, using clay you dug up yourself in India, otherwise there's no point.

I'm a traditionalist.

Are they good? Quite fancied one but thought I'd probably scald myself in the first couple of days.

Only ever seen them with a safety button which forces you to hold your hand above the tap and away from the water anyway.

If you're going to scald yourself with one you're probably at risk from a kettle anyway
