Takeover News/Rumours

My thoughts on this "takeover" is that there was never seriously a chance of anything happening.

I think the likes of nick barnes have been fed info from, im guessing, Rodwell. I think that info has been passed on in good faith, but the ultimate source of the info, donald, has never had any intention of selling whilst we're a league 1 club.

I could be wrong on all of the above and hope I am but just dont see anything changing.

but go back 10 years or even further thats when the rot set in and to many had an easy life on big money, Byrne, Bain, Hair, the list goes on.

I agree about them, absolutely but the poor sods behind the scenes were made to look a lot worse than they likely are on STID imo.

Until Donald and Methven came in, the dealings I had with the club, which to be fair was mainly the ticket office was always spot-on. Chris Waters, in particular was and is a real credit to the club.

As I say, STID looked a hatchet job to me to run with the narrative that Methven went in and showed them the light.

Yeah but you can't say you have no concept of how long it takes to buy a club and also think that it's a bad sign it's taking this long. This might be no time at all, it might be lightyears. Likewise how long it took Donald (which we don't actually know) might have been quick, might've taken ages. Without a concept, it's difficult to say one way or the other.

Also, we don't know the start point for this, so we don't actually know how long they've already had.

It was included yes, but we weren't "bleeding millions" as he claimed just to defend the owners.

Pre this Covid crisis we were in "great financial shape" according to them too and looking at an annual £5m operating profit.

This 100%. He's a crafty so and so Donald with an excellence in deception. Feeding nick Barnes a little snippet of made up guff is a well executed plan.

I wonder how the police investigation into the serious crime of following his young daughter back from the bus stop is going? Or maybe the Thames Valley police don't bother investigating utter made up bollocks?

I thought STID showed Methven as nothing but hot air. Their editing showed him as a clueless twat - pretty accurate then.

They were on easy street when Short was the owner, asked to up their game later and couldn't. Cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I wasn't party to their every day work, likewise you weren't. Fact is many are no longer there.

I’m not ITK , nor do I know anyone who claims to be .I assess situations based on facts .
The facts are the don is despised up here now and he knows it , as is that curly headed fuck methven.

He has to be desperate to get out and as posted by other people , if he does t get out of town , he’s losing money hand over fist every month . I cannot see why he wouldn’t want to go , yes he is an egotistical twat but we all have our ceiling . He’s going to bankrupt himself staying here .
