Carse gone for 41. Excellent quality stream this to watch.
Raine now gone for 31.
Durham all out 294.

Great ball for Carse and a great catch for Raine in fairness. Didn’t watch much yesterday evening due to the F1 and T20, but from what I’ve seen this morning the pitch is already a bit uneven and doing a fair amount. 300 looks a fair score on it, and they do have to bat last, so think we’re in a decent position.

Thought so meself .Sure I heard comments on the You Tube stream so was guessing they were talking championship wickets ?🤔

He's on 503 First Class wickets according to Cricinfo. Has he taken five wickets for England Lions or somesuch?

Cricinfo mentions his MCC games but no seperate details.Cricket archive is best bet but costs to check .I'm sure he played in the pre season game against the Championship winners with the pink ball in the desert etc about 5 years back

3 v Warks in 2013 in side with Benks and 2 v Yorkshire in 2015 alongside Bunny.Bith in the desert. So 498 plus the one this morning?

Been watching the game on an excellent live stream from Nottingham. Noticed that we have Marcus North, James Franklin, Alan Walker, Neil Killeen and Will Gidman at the ground.
Do we need all 5 at the game ? Seems like overkill to me ?
Sure Marcus North's role is to run all levels of cricket at Durham, not just first team, has he no work to get on with at the Riverside ?

well , more usefully, they could deliver our overdue club handbooks. Those 5 names don't inspire me as particularly devoted or charismatic coaches or administators. Most surprisingly, and worrying, our bowling has deteriorated vastly since Killeen became involved.

Seems a strange thing to get worked up over.

I’m sure Marcus North can check his emails and respond to any zoom/telephone calls from his hotel room of an evening.

Spoke to several "cricket people" this season that have said Marcus North does not answer calls, e mails and messages.
One Premier league club organiser said he "messaged" him 5 times about a game he was trying to arrange and North never got back to him.

I don't think anybody is getting worked up but it does appear to be a questionable use of resources. Why are the 2nd and youth coaches a necessary expense at an away game and the previous post rightly questions North's priorities. Business should still confine itself to essential travel.
