On another note -that Sophie Finnegan of the Chronicle is once again doing her best with -"9 problems only Mackems understand " constantly referring to " we " ( think she's from Boro)-most of the 9 things are relative to the whole north east like Greggs on every corner.

Shearer and Ferdinand the only two that I'd say were exceptional in my lifetime.
Martins, Cisse (to start with) and Rondon did decent enough stints. The rest has been mostly rubbish.

Arguably the best striker we have had since Shearer (Ba) didn't even wear number 9.

I forgot Cole, he was exceptional too.
