You should of been charged a service charge for fannying on with a card and holding up everyone else
If this was Singapore you would of been lashed and jailed for 20 years

daft twat. if debenhams car park can accept a quick tap of the card then so can the new payment system of the tyne tunnel

Sitting waving your card out of the window while the tt guy runs around servicing your bone idleness
I bet you are one of these lazy gets who gets supermarket shopping and takeaways delivered too
Accept the fact they haven't got contactless yet and get yourself sorted with a pass or change if not piss off and use another way of crossing the tyne and stop inconveniencing other people

You just need the app, not the thing in the winda, and can top it up in seconds.

Aren’t they talking about removing the barriers altogether so it just reads your reg and sends you a bill if you haven’t got an account , or have pre-paid. Like the Dartford Crossing

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier. That's their goal, and they don't want to spend their time planning other interim stuffs that will slow down that goal.
 
Just been over the river mersey on a bridge and you get more than 24hrs to pay for it online(the journey not the bridge). Used and paid £2 (bit steep like)

Where do you stand on people who break down in the tunnel, twice, during rush hour?

No contactless and no machines to withdraw money and then fining people £60 each way if they dont pay the invoice within 48 hours is absolutely shocking.

I know we forgot about the slips but jesus christ man. 5p I was short on the north bound side, you have to laugh.

You had 48hours!

You could have pulled over where there isn't a cash point (but there is a change machine), and paid it on your phone there and then. Would have taken a similar amount of time.
