Certain people repeatedly try to pick faults with Grumps but the same people wouldn’t have a clue with regard to accounts, balance sheets and governance. As you say an asset and a real gent. Keep up the good works GOM!!
I can't understand anyone giving him shit. He's class and, as someone said, an asset to the board but equally he never lowers himself to getting involved with any of the pettiness and so is about as inoffensive as it gets on here - how can you give him grief when that's the case.

If Madrox is being sold, then Donald can simply sell his shares and the buyers get 74% ownership of it, and de facto control of Sunderland, but with two minority shareholders. 74% is awkward; it doesn't give them the control that 76% does. Methven's shares would give them that. If Methven is a problem, Sartori is the key; if they can get his shares it takes them past 90%, and they can buy out Methven compulsorily. On the other hand, if Madrox is selling its shares in Sunderland, then it's down to whether any vote is by the directors (one man, one vote) or the shareholders (one share, one vote).

In reality, Donald can do what the wants; he has enough shares in Madrox to remove Sartori and/or Methven as directors if he had to to get a sale of Sunderland to his preferred bidder.
If I ran a company I wadnt be removing son in laws like Juan mind.

Repeatedly! And not in a great manner and the lad's stopped posting as a result.
Of course it's allowed. Just as it's allowed for people to tell you what they think of you for it (within reason).

How? Wasnt abusive in any way, just pointed out something I noticed and said why I didnt think there was any truth in the Gray story

Just pay very big bonuses for one single cup victory. Job done.
If the FL was an actual professional organisation they’d have % parameters for that stuff sorted already. Maybe they have and all the chicanery was covered in the initial proposal?
Though the problems UEFA and the PL have had with their far greater financial resources and investigative/rule writing abilities suggest someone somehere will be hard at it looking for loopholes. The top level owners are some of the richest people on the planet and can afford the legal larks finest minds. At FL level, not so much.

I fail to see how anyone can be in favour of being punished because clubs cannot control their own finances. They should not be restricted and players should not be financially worse off because of it. It’s a farce and was voted by clubs who cannot compete financially with the bigger clubs in the league and that is how it was passed, because the majority of them can’t

If a club really wants a player in sure they'll find a way to compensate him.

Overally for our club its a challenge but its the rifht challenge - be the best at recruiting & scouting abd reap the rewards. We've avoided doing for 10 years this and its cost us millions and our reputation. Im all for a new approach
