He said he would be running the club himself and his past history, that he keeps saying is wrong but providing nothing to substantiate, generally lies somewhere between total crook and laughing stock depending on what you read.

Im struggling to believe he even has a viable energy drinks business at the minute, again something he diverts from when asked, let alone a super consortium of billionaires.

He even used the same line for backers for his Haas deal.

I know mate I don’t think it’s credible. The point is that if it does happen then the backers are more important than this bloke. As a minority shareholder he’s going to be limited in what he can get away with and outvoted on everything.

A lot of people seem to be lapping up all the bold claims, and it's impacting a serious group trying to buy the club. A fairly big issue in my opinion.

I don’t think people are necessarily lapping it up but even if they are it won’t effect the other group. Donald and Rodwell etc will know how credible both consortia are and if this bloke is talking out of his hoop then they’ll tell him to do one.

I understand that bit as it stands all he can be judged on is what is publicly known about him

The justification of just ignoring all that because he said on the radio he has people with lots of money is bewildering.

I’m not ignoring it I’m saying that there are potential checks and balances against him. I’m in no way suggesting he should be welcomed with open arms. No owner should be, the Donald situation has proved we need to be sceptical and hold them to account from day one.

I think its pretty clear he wasn't getting any attention from the club previously so he's came up on a charm offensive. Rodwell probably met him in an effort to tell him to follow procedures and keep quiet, like they have with the other bidder.

Fact is, his bid hasnt been accepted, whilst the other party's bid has.

I'm not saying you are but last week everyone was calling him a fantasist freak not to be trusted.

Since he went on the radio and said he has people with lots of money there's an increasing number of people now wanting him involved.

There's someone on here today passing off public record court cases agaisnt him (that hes lost) as 'hearsay' and backing him because of 'the sort of people he has behind him' despite admitting they have no idea who, if anyone, is behind him. It's mental.
