In these straightened times, it's great to have a reminder of more normal times. I'm guessing this Stirk fell knows his meat.

Can't be SR6 or you'd be asking about fillet.
You only get excellent steaks out of the city walls, the further you travel the better they are.
A 40 mile round trip should see you right.

Where does the meat come from? Website just says locally sourced which could mean they pick it up from port of Tyne.

This. Alternatively, Block and Bottle on Heaton Road. They had some great looking T-bone and cote de boeuf the other day. You can get it cut to whatever thickness you like.
