Just because I have a different opinion?
Two companies owned by SD and co owed money to each other - so that is not external debt.

I think we're twisting like a kid who didn't win pass the parcel. We were really close to promotion and a cup win in the first season.
But we didn’t get promotion. And we didn’t win a cup. What we did was finish in our lowest ever position.
And then did it again the following year.
But hey, twisty kids!
And every right to do so. Surely you're not happy with being nearly men in league pissing one????I think we're twisting like a kid who didn't win pass the parcel. We were really close to promotion and a cup win in the first season.
Details eh? We were abysmal before the season ended. Couldn't win away from home and had a few away games left.We didn't finish the season either, but hey.....details....

We weren't playing well. I'm convinced we wouldn't have made the play offs even if we had finished the season (said so at the time as well, also we were dire away from home)Just a wobble Rocko, Parkie was smashing it before that....3 points off top 2

Zero confidence in that tbh.Was plenty of time to turn it round, but we'll never knaa....
Sartori is a billionaire
You don't stop cost cutting when you get to the break even point. The idea is to make a profit.
What a crap answer, I ask a question and you tell to go and find the answer elsewhere.
and yet still just 1 game of 2nd place.
Maja left, we could do nothing to stop that. It wasn't in our gift to keep him. Grigg hasn't worked out so far, but if we hadn't pushed the boat out for him we'd be abused even more for that.
Reducing your outgoings to match your income works for everyone. There isn't a queue of people lining up to invest huge sums to make progress, that's the core problem. So as SD doesn't have massive personal wealth he has no choice but to make the club work within its income. Like or not, it's the only option.
If someone comes in who's prepared to run the club at a loss as a gamble, then it would be different. But given, we're not even sure when we'll get fans back in the stadium and the expected global recession, I doubt many people are looking for clubs to chuck millions at.
So I agree, an owner willing to invest £500m would be great, but that's not reality.
It’s a shame we didn’t have a trio of American billionaires who were interested in taking over who Donald could sell to
What about the second season? Or should we be grateful for a season ago? A season we failed in.I think we're twisting like a kid who didn't win pass the parcel. We were really close to promotion and a cup win in the first season.
We've got no god-given right to win the league. The first priority was to balance the books, that meant losing things. What about the second season? Or should we be grateful for a season ago? A season we failed in.
No the first priority was promotion. Cutting costs was secondary to this but still high importance. You can go up and cut cost base. Sd could then flip safc as planned. The savage cuts to recruitment team meant our trading was abysmal and ensured we'd be stuck down here for an extra season. Vandalism of the academy means we'll be stuck here potentially force very long timeWe've got no god-given right to win the league. Cost cutting went too far though. Sd actually stated we made profit and we're likely to this year. If they'd correctly funded academy and recruitment they'd have a better chance of promotion and have more assets to sell if required. Simple football admin 101. Can't blame Moyes for sd's faults. If they didn't cut costs there's be no footy klerb, which bit don't you get?
Mini Moyles cost us promotion
