All of those businesses down there have been trading for well over 365 days.

Thirty quid for what our lass(no) would call a picky tea! We could cobble that together for about £3.

Lilly’s, scullery Downey’s have all been there 3/4 years now. Lillys mebbes 2.

This summer there seems to be more of them than last year and the mess and them pissing up the wall in the corner is often a disgrace. Open drug use now aswell, not really nice for lasses or kids who might be walking past.

Did you get the six special board?Went on Saturday. Not sure I agree with people saying it's pricey. We got two big platters to share between us and drinks and it came to £65. Reasonable I thought.
Food was good as was the service (from the waitress we had anyway, the other one working that night spent most of her time talking to her mates who were in there

Cheers. We do Blacks Corner every so often (much better now they’ve got a lager on tap) so will try it, even if it sounds pricey.
Didn’t Sunderland football club have a cafe down there? And there was a noodle place iirc. I’m sure there’s been some others

Which ones? Seem to be thriving down there and the places there now seem to have been open a long while, the wok and chicken places didn’t last long, there was other reasons why they shut and it wasn’t because of lack of trade.

Was down that way on Sunday and that part of the beach was packed with the restaurants looking like they were doing ok. Could do with the amusements being redeveloped.
