We started the year with 29 points from a possible 36. If you were to extrapolate that over a full season it gives you 110 points, just to put that run into context. We are a still a good team, needing some slight adjustments, and I do believe we have a good Manager even though many may have their doubts. Bettering this campaign and aiming for the top six will be the objective for this season and we will be very competitive. That means we will be difficult to beat and we will win most weekends.

If you're waking up as a Bury fan, you don't have a club. Who knows when they'll have another club to represent their community, if they ever will again. If you're waking up as a Wigan fan, you're facing the prospect of losing your best players for a fraction of their value and relegation, and who knows what happens then. They'll possibly be in a position similar to Bolton where the best they've got to look forward to is to lose every week, and the worst case scenario is that they don't have a club either.

Sunderland has its issues and the ownership have made mistakes but it's a far cry from the hard realities many clubs have faced, are facing or will face shortly. That does not mean you have to like them but our relatively strong position in a challenging landscape has to be acknowledged.

You’re talking about a snapshot of games and ignoring October, November, December and March.
Well done.
We are utter toilet and you should be calling people to account rather than trying to spin it as a positive.
Instead of which you align yourself with these absolute chancers.
Shameful.

I hope we have millions to spend again. But this time on more than one player.

As others have said I think SD will stay as long as possible hoping we go up next year. Assuming the bastard virus doesn't wreck the season again.

As if Summerbee has decided we are going to drop from top to sixth because our 30 goal a season striker is going to break his leg on day 1.
You are literally a clown. Remember at the wise men say talk in before Christmas when you rocked up to basically blame our fans for hounding out Maja, Honeyman etc. Actual muppet.

What's this about?

Youre a f***ing disgrace and should be ashamed of yourself. How the fuck you sleep at night is beyond me.

Yes @LukeJH96. can you explain this? Is Sloane another ligging rat, lapping up free pints and tickets, whilst taking fans for mugs? Sounds just like the ownership if I'm honest. They have just rode roughshod over every single fan for their own gain and they will continue to do so. Sloanerbee is an absolute disgrace, there is no way he is a normal Sunderland fans with the thought process he has. I can sort of understand the odd few standing up for Donald, but the nonsense that he comes out with is treating everyday fans with utter contempt. He thinks we wills wallow the shite we come out with. Unfortunately, and unlike him, we aren't fluffers and can make our own minds up. Its something he appears incapable of.

You can't guarantee anything in football and it was a huge error to promise points totals and it only risks antagonising the fans. We could sign a 30 goal striker this summer who breaks his legs on day 1. That might make the difference between automatic and the play offs. There could be some very strong teams coming down as well.

I say bring it on and I have faith that we can be the best team in the division next year. But over the last two years, would I really turn down a win in the play-off final at Wembley via a last minute winner off someone's backside? No chance!
I don't agree with everything you say, but have respect for you as a poster and your posts 👍 .

Amazon have a special on for tin hats btw; might come in useful🤘

I do not believe Summerbee is Tom Sloanes, or anyone associated with the club in any way. It is simply another fisherman out to get bites by defending the owners and their actions, throwing in ridiculous comments along the way.

Best ignored, it might go away then
I hope you are right. The alternative is unthinkable.

I'm not comparing us to any other club, we don't have good owners, team or a manager......I''m going off the facts, the current owners took over the club with no sound financial investment and selling off any assets.....The owners have juggled running the club from day one and this is a major problem to which we are seeing now and i haven't clue where you see the light in this current debacle....

Him and his brother were at Wise Men say live talk in before Christmas. On the Q&A with Stephen Elliott, his question was to basically slag off the fans for our treatment of young players.

What a c unt.

What treatment would this be anyway? It's his mates who have treated them shabbily - touting them round then not even having the courtesy to ring the parents and see how they were getting on. These wankers are the disease our club needs to rid itself of, not us.
