Donald not responding to takeover offers?

Not that I'm hoping Sammy Yu buys the club but it's the height of ignorance and extremely childish by Donald.

If I was to take a guess, this consortium would want Yu to run it on their behalf which means SD and his merry men will be out the door. They probably don't value the club at Donald's asking price either.

We'll never know because Donald won't even speak to potential buyers. We will be sold to Campbell or an associate of Donald's. It's obvious he is out to make the best deal for him and not the club.

Based on it is obviously bloody rubbish. People haven't renewed for loads of reasons, not just some people's agenda.

You don't know that, 14000 might just find that a good reason.

The article mentioned that. He brokered the deal for Carson Yeung, and was vice-chairman and "football consultant". HK involvement in English clubs normally seems to end in tears. Particularly in view of the current political instability there, I'd be very worried if a consortium was based there.
Racist

Why more worried than with the current set of grifters who used the clubs own money to buy it for themselves? Doesn't get much more shady than what's happening right now. I think they often get a pass for being English that a foreign owner would not.

I'd assume if business people in HK are buying business interests in the UK right now, it's partly because of the political uncertainty. Gives them a reason to exit to a different country if the situation with China escalates.

It's more to do with potential restrictions on the movement of capital and the deteriorating relations between the UK and China in general. Not every HKer is going to qualify for a British passport either, and the Chinese will put the blocks on capital flight from HK very quickly. I think Chinese owners of PL clubs will also come under a certain amount of scrutiny and pressure if things get ramped up, which could be bad news for Wolves. The Chinese are already talking about sanctions of Britain doesn't back down, and Boris's post-Brexit trade deal with China is probably toast already.

That's sort of what I was hinting at, that it might be a good time for HKers to move their money abroad. Might be why their interest is renewed.....or would be if Donald would bother to reply.

I'm thinking more along the lines that, given the likely length of time to completion, they'll have more wealth locked down than not. Also, Yu's record at Birmingham isn't encouraging.

I don't know a lot about that situation. The Echo article seemed to paint him as a "football person" who isn't particularly wealthy but was the face of Carson Yeung's team. If this is a different set of backers it doesn't necessarily follow that things would pan out the same way.

Would need to know more about the people involved, their wealth and intentions.

😂
You said people hadn’t renewed as they didn’t know when they would be allowed back in.
I agree some will have done this. However I don’t know one person who has binned the ST for that reason (in a sample of around 20 people that I know has a ST)
Everyone said it was Because Donald is a dick!

I'm sure in a few years that "those in the know" will confirm the agenda from the start was to "flip" SAFC after a year to the highest bidder.
Maja leaving spoiled that plan. Natural goalscorer, we didn't get him signed up early enough. The likes of Paddy and Assoro etc were already out the door.

Wasn't a bad plan. Mcgeady nearly pulled it off on his own.

You must be off your heed if you want Chinese/HK owners.....

Never said I did. I said Donald is being ignorant and childish by not even speaking to them.

We don't know if this consortium is from China or Hong Kong? Donald has also refused to speak to a Saudi consortium. He's acting like a sulky child.
