There's something strange going on. We have some posters like yourself, where none of their group have renewed, and there have been others where they've all renewed, or intend to renew as soon as we're allowed back in the ground (ie their decision is related to lockdown restrictions, rather than the actions of the owners. That makes what's really going on so hard to work out. It also means that each side of the argument is prone to confirmation bias, the logical fallacy that because a view is held by the social circle, it must therefore be held universally. The truth is that there are multiple reasons for non-renewal.

Exactly and some could be disgruntled with the ownership, but definitely not all of them. There's people lost their jobs or been reduced income and people not wanting to commit due to uncertainty of seeing the game.

As if the last two seasons weren't enough to indicate that the direction of the Club is still downward I very much doubt that he ever will. Lets hope he gets the message soon that under the circumstances no one is going to pay top dollar for SAFC especially as in their case they won't have any parachute payments to help them.

My sentiments exactly, he's taking another gamble on us going up so he can sell at his asking price.
What he really needs to realise is his best option is to take a loss now as when the useless twats running the club have no chance of taking us up and the attendances drop considerably then the club will be worth even less , so his loss will end up being greater

I know 4 people who Will renew once there is a confirmation fans can attend - so only 13996 to account for!
 
Re the 14k non renewals I think it's probably 50/50 between people not renewing as a f u to Donald and due to Covid

No one will ever know why people areor aren't renewing, I predicted before Christmas that if we didn't go up this season , then next season we would struggle to get 15k next season.
I think COVID has helped them cover over some statistics, they can blame it for us not going up because we didn't finish the season, the amount of non renewals because we don't know when we'll be allowed back in.
Simple fact is with all the free players available at this level, with a club the size of us if we don't have a squad that can walk this leave the in my opinion the entire management and recruitment team really are incompetent and our club will be in free fall

Also higher unemployment and debt will affect people.

The charlatans in charge have treated the supporters as mugs. They expected to do so again, but the loss of14,000 season tickets has certainly disavowed them of taking the clubs greatest assets as idiots
