think it's more about keeping a percentage of shares so if someone competent strikes it lucky he can make his losses back.

This. There's obviously 3 options for Donald. The one he wants is to sell now for his ridiculous asking price, which simply won't happen. His worst option is to sell now for what it's worth, because he'll make a huge loss. I imagine he'll be very tempted by a deal that gets him some money now to limit his losses, but which keeps him a decent share so that he can get a higher return if the next person manages to help get us up. Not ideal for him but a decent middle of the road option. I don't doubt for a minute that he'd rather take that option with the wrong person than accept the loss by selling in full now to the right person

I've said it a million times, but it's frustrating that wealthy people seem to think them making mistakes and losing money is something they should be immune to.

Why should he get a % of someone else's potential success?

Wouldn’t put it past him? That’s exactly what he’s going to do. Donald and Methven are the worst thing to ever happen to this club.

He would of sold it by now if he wanted to sell to anyone. He's had opportunity's to do so.

Let’s face it after what happened to Wigan we can’t trust the EFL to protect us from a crook. Then Bury, Steve Dale had that many companies declared bankrupt you wouldn’t trust him to own a burger van and yet he passed the test to own a football club. I’m convinced the only thing the EFL look at it is criminal records, and judging by who took over Wigan, British/English and Welsh criminal records.

It couldn’t have been the Saudi power structure, they’re in for the mags. Will have been just Saudi nationality, which theres nothing wrong with until you learn more.
Aye but knowing our luck the main backers of the Saudi consortium will be the Binladen Group (you know Osamas super rich family business).
The Mags get Mohammed Bone Saw (next King of Saudi Arabia) and we get the worlds most notorious terrorists kin as owners.
We wouldn’t even get to have the moral high ground.
