Players Who Suddenly Turned Shit

I remember wondering whether ex-Villa youth Yago Bellon might go on to do special things but it hasn't really materialised yet

Torres went from unplayable to a complete shadow of himself the second he moved to Chelsea. He was only 26 too.

65 goals in 102 games at Liverpool and then 20 in 110 for Chelsea.

He never recovered post Chelsea. In the 12 seasons from leaving Liverpool he only hit double figures in one of those seasons. Pre-Chelsea he had hit double figures 8 times out of 9 top flight seasons in Spain and England.
I think Torres' form had dropped off before he went to Chelsea. His goal per game was on the slide the season that he moved. Always missed a few games each season with injuries after his first season with Liverpool. Certainly wasn't quite the same after he'd had knee surgery.

He was pretty shit tbf before and after he came here and didn’t do a lot while here. Majority of his goals were penalties
Tin hat moment

He was in a run of poor form during his last season at Liverpool. That last major knee injury he had fucked him cos he lost his pace and couldn’t adjust his game to it

Micheal Ricketts for Bolton. Wasn't exactly class like but had scored 15 by February in his maiden premiership season. Didn't he score 5 against Leicester too? Got called up for England (one cap against Holland) then failed to score the rest of the season. He moved on to Boro and fell through the leagues.

Why have you posted this twice?

Doesn’t need a tin hat - Borini was an average player who had a decent attitude whilst on loan. He signed permanently as he had no real options and didn’t really want to, which led to those performances.

When he was called up for England i said he was the worst ever player to get a cap. He was total garbage, a lower league plodder with a touch worse than my Mother, he got that cap on his streak of all streaks.

He left Bolton at 23yrs old and only managed to average less than 4 goals a season for the rest of his career, retiring at 30 after having his contract terminated whilst playing for Tranmere.
