I`m booked with Love Holidays to go on the 23rd July. I guess it might happen, it might not but i`ve got a £1200 payment to make on the 9th july which i`d rather not make if i wasnt going anyway

Looked at re-arranging my flights (Ryan Air) as when i was rooting about on the love holidays site it said that you had to change flights direct with the airline and then go back on there to sort accommodation. Found that if i was to go at a similar time next year the flights are around £100 cheaper. Result ! I thought get in....however all the bloody fees for changing mean I`d have to tip up 500 odd quid extra

when were you due to go away mate ?
Are your flights still on sale. I’m due to fly easyJet early August but my flights went from available and very cheap to sold out overnight. Now there are no flights until September, but I haven’t been informed that they are cancelled, I’m just assuming that I’m not going.

i`ve had this booked since last september as i managed to get what i considered a decent deal at that time. when i checked on the ryan air website, it says my flight is "scheduled" but the one on the thursday before mine is cancelled. i`ve never actually checked if it was still on sale tbh.

i just want someone to make my decision for me  the missus is twisting on that she doesnt want to go on the plane, the kids couldnt really give a toss from what i can tell and it appears i`m stuck with either lumping an extra 500 in to go next year or paying the balance and potentially having a socially distanced holiday. My main gripe against going if i`m told its on, is that this wont be the holiday I signed up for 10 months ago

edit

yes you can book for the 23rd, just checked. its around £200 or so less than what we paid last year

My sons and his mates meant to be going to Benidorm tonight. Flights refunded/rebooked a while back but accommodation/booking.com still not budging on refund - hotel offered a voucher for 12 months but the lads won’t be able to use it. Have started the chargeback process with the Credit Card we used to book it for them - assuming for now that we won’t get anything back but worth a go
I've done the same but not heard anything yet

Booked 10 nights in Miami through travel republic flying out with Virgin 10 May .neither travel republic of virgin informed me the flights were cancelled,I had to do my own groundwork.Put a claim in with the travel company ,they informed me it's virgin's problem ,virgin says it's the travel company s problem.I have put a claim in from my card company for a refund last week.since then virgin have been in touch offering a voucher which I have declined .A rep from that telly programme with Martin Lewis has been in touch and said to keep them informed if we don't get no satisfaction within 7 days then they will be chasing them up as all refunds should be paid up by now.

So now the French government have confirmed that anyone arriving from the UK must self isolate for 14 days can I reclaim for the second and third hotels we booked of our travelling trip which we paid for by credit card? On the grounds that we aren't allowed by law to leave isolation to get to them?

The hotels aren’t failing to provide a service, so I’d guess not?

Managed to get a refund on this despite the bookings being non refundable and the hotels being open when we were supposed to be going. Pleasantly surprised.
Easyjet offered credit note for flight to France which must be accepted within 7 days if you want it. Flights are mid July and haven't been cancelled "yet"
Took the credit note option for this too. Getting the hotel refunded means we'll be able to afford a holiday next year so worked out well overall.

Cheers , as yet our flights to Italy late July are still on so we’re bit knackered and apartment won’t give refund , so either lose all the money or just go

Brilliant news. It’s normally us that get shafted but I think overall, these big companies have stepped up. Irrespective of the hassle and inconvenience, most people seem to have been done right by.

Just found out yesterday if I didnt rebook I would lose £400 deposit, had paid £100 didnt pay rest so thought that would be that, needed to pay balance yesterday went to cancel said I had to pay another £300 on top of £100, piss off first choice.
Looked booked another holiday for March in canaries and they've put £100 amendment fee and no phone lines open til Monday
What a morally bankrupt rotten company, unless they give me it back when they will become a canny set of lads

Just checked my statement and Barclaycard had refunded mine last weekend, just a couple of days after claim. Hadn't emailed me or anything so nice surprise

Booking com and the hotel haven’t offered a refund - just a voucher that they can’t use so have started process with credit card.

poor lads would have all been hungover, sunburnt and skint by by now

We booked through Hayes travel for a summer holiday.

I have to say they have been fantastic as we got money back very quickly.

When the world returns to normal we will be using them again to sort our next one without a doubt.

been waiting 4 weeks for a refund from Jet2 via Hays, still heard nowt...getting tedious now like.

Got email from opodo to say that they’ll start processing the refund now. Had to wait 90 days before they’ll even start processing. They’ve shut there phone lines as well which was handy.

netflights on the other hand were really good. Filled in form on websites then two weeks later it’s in the account, no speaking to anyone.

just got easyjet and Ryanair to wait on Now. Submitted claim start of June and haven’t heard anything yet
