The Last Of Us 2 PS4

Just finished it. Thoroughly enjoyed the misery for 26 hours.

99% of the time my stealth approach would take out one dude then all hell would break loose

I have managed to get past a large bunch of enemies without having to kill anyone for the first time in the game and it has only taken 20 hours.

Impressive.

My main gripe now is I closed the game and deleted so I can install something else and it hasn't recognised that I've finished and hasn't gave me the trophy for completing the story.

I'm an older generation gamer and I've been playing games on PC and most consoles since I was a lad and have played some stormers over my 49 years. Boy this is something else!!

Production values are superb and the acting is sublime. It's like watching the rarest of films - the ones you don't want to end...
I've no idea how much more of the game is left but I've been painstakingly opening every door, drawer and rummaging around to find loot..just to try and eke it out a bit longer.

Breathtaking entertainment.

It's been great so far. Some gamers are just f***ing bellends.

Exactly what my son said - he is waiting for delivery. He bought a PS4 a few years back when we were all visiting my parents and it came with the Last of Us, in all honesty the whole lot of us were watching him play it it is the most cinematic and well realised game I can remember (too hard for me as I truly suck at action games)

I've been watching some reviews from people who hate the game trying to understand their perspective. I still don't understand what they are moaning about other than the fact they wouldn't have wrote that story and that it doesn't fit perfectly their world view.

I don't think the game will be for everyone, nothing is, but some of the scores giving it zeros and 3 out of 100 must be trolling. A game to get those scores it would basically have to not work and crash every 5 minutes.

I f***ing hate the dogs on this.
Kill them with bow and arrows. The person walking them looks down in confusion for about half an hour allowing you to put an arrow in their head too. They were a real nuisance until I stumbled across this.

It would be interesting to see the reviews if it worked on averages. If they had to give seperate scores for gameplay, graphics and storyline etc to come up with an average score. I wonder if they would give the gameplay and graphics a 0 still.

That's exactly my point. Even you hate the game for it's story, gameplay loop and even mechanics you'd still have to concede everything works and it looks amazing. It's can't be a 3 out of 100. I'd make a bet it the game wasn't spoiled the knee jerk response from a section of gamers would have been a lot lower, that's not to say they would have liked the game though.

I thought Star Wars Battlefront 1 was shit as an example, lack of content, no story and loads of stuff put behind a pay wall but it did play fine and looked great. So even I'd have to be fair and give it a middle score is my point.

Just finished it and I don't know what to say.

I think that's partly the point. Just like real life actions have consequences and there's not a black and white answer for right or wrong in many settings...……….especially in this world.

Unlike 99% of games at least it makes you ask questions. Most just want you to play for better or worse
