Tony suddenly went without rhyme or reason after supposedly being a key part of the new set up. But like the Dortmund Model, Juan Sartori's reason for being involved in our club, Methven's December departure "for family reasons" [and now he is still making decisions and giving media interviews etc.], the takeover failing after being within a hair's breadth of happening, we are never seemingly told the truth from owners who informed us all that the piss taking party was over upon their arrival on Wearside.

These are all reasons why there's so much current unrest amongst the fan base-continual cloak and dagger behaviour that the thick northerners, contributors to the #sunderlanddisease should simply seemingly tolerate and not question. Not many businesses can get away with treating their customers with such utter contempt.

Davison might ultimately spill the beans if he feels he was badly treated by his 'friend' Methven. The bottom line is that after being continually lauded by CM for the job he was doing at SAFC, to suddenly depart, unheralded, in mid season was not normal. He was clearly edged out by the owners for reasons only they know.

Ironically Methven resigned from daily duties at the club last December for personal reasons, yet has miraculously reappeared of late, giving media interviews and going on as though we should just accept he never said he was leaving in the first place. Maybe he could tell us all where his 'Dortmund Model' disappreaed to, what the point of Sartori ever was and why the takeover fell through thus robbing SAFC of the chance of a lifetime?

the owners did explain it, and davison quite wasnt fied..why do ou have to tell such flagrant lies?
davison worked ith methven many times before in mu.tiple businesses, he knows the guy well.
mid season isnt elevant to davison timing..he didnt work on the football side, his "season" is the business ear, not the football year.

The deal with Elior was done when we were in the Premiership so I would think any such new deal would put Elior in the stronger position until we get back there.

indeed so, but the deal will liekly ave clauses, arounfd o much they pay depending on hat divison at the size of the gates are etc..and if safc get back to the prem and sell out..when the deal comes up for renewal..the club can chage more..

too many safc fans want an owner who is like mr burns casino customess..they come, they mpt thei ;pockets, and the leave..
thats not how more successful teams than safc (which is almost all of them at this stage) do it..

There will be clauses but we're now three years into the deal and I would expect a deal like that to be a minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 so we'd need consecutive promotions to get back to the PL in that time and let's face it, it's not going to happen. So again, Elior will be in the bargaining position (if they even want to renew) and prevents the club maximising any additional revenue in this channel.

im talking ona ten year view..which is how you run a proper business..not on the suppositions..
also the club could make extra if they simply sold more tickets..
and any additional now on the hospitality side ..helps the negotiaions wen the deal needs to be renewed in future,..whenevr that is..bevause the more made now..even if it goes to the concession guys..makes it a more attactive poproiotn in future whatever divison we ae in.//..ie moves more of the cards back to the club..
safc was run dismally when this deal was signed, much worse than now..if it hadnt been..i would suges there are clauses and upliftas in the contract value as revenue rises...because thats how business works..its about shaing the upside..so te more spent now..the better it is for safc in multiple ways

If they're doing their bit I think the fans will be happy to dig a bit deeper. We're a long way from that currently though when this lot can't even get us out of league one

If we were top half i think we would definitely sell out or near enough. Every season under short we were fighting relegation (even when we finished 10th till the last few games)

Even under keane we near enough di cls that buzz was there

the current regime are dismal..so the one before..its been run dismallyy probably since the end of the fist season in the top flight under keano....the only thing that has changed is the way its been un dismally..but the net net outcome is the same..
