Pre 1992 Nufc fans are just normal gadgees. It's the Premier league lot who are monkey spunk.

Serious question. If you and Sunderland fans grew up in the 90s with Sunderland as one of the top clubs in the country and regular European football and signing top players do you not think you lot would have different standards and expectations now? And be different as a fanbase?

But we didn't. However, even back then we were far more grounded.

You weren't one of the top clubs in the country. Top clubs win stuff.

Put it this way do you class Leicester as one of the top clubs in the country and they've actually won the league and a couple of league cups?

You seem to struggle with the concept of a club having a good spell and fading back to it’s natural level in the game. Forrest actually won the league, several league cups and a couple of European cups in their brief good spell, but you never hear their supporters twisting as much as you do.

You have a good spell, you enjoy it while it lasts because no one expects it to last forever, apart from the majority of mags who now believe that their good spell was their natural position in football, despite history telling them otherwise.

I'd definitely consider it being 'grounded' swilling your manager with a pint of beer at a pre-season friendly after he got you to your highest finish in fifty years. Twice.

That's twice for the finish and not for the swilling, btw.

Almost up there with punching a horse because you lose a game of football

Yous literally smashed ya own city up and a daft wanker punched a f***ing horse all because we beat you lot again

Aye, I think the universally accepted opinion by Sunderland fans is that we're not grounded tbf, Bear lad.

That's not under discussion. Why was Peter Reid swilled considering position-wise hes the best manager (or one of the best players in your case) you've had in seventy years (around fifty at the time)?

How ironic. You mock a grieving woman protesting against her husband's murderers taking on your club, but you show solidarity to the USA protesters. Absolutely pathetic behaviour!

Yeah, the players have been really mocking the fiancé. How date they be such hypocrites. Likewise, now us fans are potentially going to be owned by Saudis we can’t have a view on any other situation in the world

Or glassing your own chairman while he's having a meal with his wife in a restaurant

It was one person who swilled him.
Answer me this though why did 10k of your fans abandon the club after just smashing your transfer record?

Great post mate, and the biggest reason for that purple patch was down to the owners Hall and Shepherd massively overspending and putting the club into serious financial debt, a debt that forced them to sell and a debt that Newcastle United still have up until this day, there is no denying that they bought some fantastic players with that money though along with the stadium expansion.

I am confused, he knows how we Newcastle fans think however you think it's good that they took the knee to show solidarity with black lives matter and I don't think it's a good idea........hmmmmm

Why did one of your fans gob on Bobby Robson?

Weird, you liked this post

Seems you only have an issue with one person doing something some of the time. I wonder what might have changed.

Because the club is a f***ing husk and that £40m deal is a total sham.

Did you canvas Niall Quinn to correlate your opinion?
