Hello mate, Been listening this morning to the new Hear and Now record, Alba Sol on Claremont 56. Very good.

It’s probably because they’re f***ing crap mate

I see Darren Hayman has released his second album in less than a month

Oh I agree, just the band (or rather singer) have traditionally blown sooooooo much smoke up journalists backsides to curry favour, it's interesting to see a few turn their backs at this stage. Christ, he even shouted out the deputy music editor from The Guardian as "our friend" in a BRITs acceptance speech.

He aggravates me like nobody else tbf. Accidentally read a little box out piece in Q where he said he was loving Sunderland Til I Die in lockdown and that he was actually sad we were in League One because they always batter us. The worst kind of plastic ever.

They're such an odd group, the rest of them seem relatively normal from what I can tell. Healy is a tit.

This is great, reminds me of a certain time.

Few other good ones...

Really like the new Jason isbell album.

Jess Williamson, sorceress, very good.

Darren Hayman, home time, is a good one.

Tim Burgess, still makes great records.

Woods, class.

I’d never heard of them but they seemed be everyone’s choice here to listen to. I found it a bit boring to be honest. Started off well but I struggled with it towards the end.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Badly Drawn Boy. Never really bothered with him after “Born in the U.K.” but this is enjoyable.
