how's the central reservation armco ended up like that? like has been said could be off to international paints at felling or akzo nobel at ashington. they don't usually load rigids though.
he was going southbound and crossed the CR into oncoming traffic, amazing he didn't hit another car

Posts are still in but it looks like it's sheared the bolts holding the lengths on. Thank fuck it looks like they never hit another car coming the other way!

I'm guessing that the cab was airborne when it hit it.
possibly? made a canny mess like, hope no one's hurt though.

there were no other cars crashed into and he was the only one there, on the pic you can see the medics treating him - it looks like he climbed out of the side window and walked a few metres then sat down. Hopefully he isn't too injured.

That's how they work. The lengths of barrier are very strongly fixed to each other, but weakly attached to the uprights. When a vehicle strikes the barrier, the barrier itself comes adrift from the mounts and deforms, absorbing the energy of the thing that hit it.

metal cable designed not to snap and hold the car on the right side of the carriageway. looks like the van was obviously top heavy, the cable caught it low down and its flipped over

Dont go northbound past seaham, lorry overturned blocking both lanes about 30 minutes ago, I'd probably avoid southbound too in that area.
Whereabouts exactly did this happen? Cos I came off the 1018 and merged onto the a19 travelling south at about 20 past to 25 past 5. I saw a police car and a highways van on the other side, they'd coned it off and were filtering the traffic heading north into one lane but I didn't see the truck? Unless it happened further north on the a19 and what I saw was just where they'd started to filter traffic...

I was trying to gauge where we were traveling past but was unsure, it was maybe a few miles north of seaham.

If it's where I think it is the sun is really, really bad going up that slight incline travelling south. Like burn your eyes blindingly bad

It's like that on one of the roundabouts in Washington at certain times of the day, for a few seconds you just have to guess.

Exactly like that then. And in this spot it's prolonged, there have been numerous accidents on the same stretch over the years. I've driven wagons up there plenty of times yet when the sun's out it still catches you out each time, you can't hide from it

From the pattern of trees and the top of a property in the top left hand corner, it looks like just after the Hangmans Lane Bridge to me:

The bridge in the distance is the one over to Burdon Farm.

Does the time coincide with it?

Have you ever seen the footage of a wagon that did it?
I'll see if I can find it.
