Probably the beIN Sports deal due to the piracy of sports happening in Saudi Arabia. The Committee for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport are currently holding an investigation in n to it, I think it was some Tory MP Giles Watling that’s pushing for it.

They've likely got more pressing concerns getting the season ended, resolving broadcast issues for the remaining games, safeguarding staff and players, dealing with contract disputes, etc. etc. etc.

Our takeover isn't as important as all that shit, is it?

Is there only one person working at the premier league now then? Bearing in mind it wouldn’t take that long to actually go through this “deal”.

beIN sports are not sponsors they bought a digital package. They are not holding a investigation into it, Giles Watling asked them to and he was told to jog on. The UK government is actively trying to increase trade with Saudi not hinder it.

The premier league does not lose money through the saudi piracy of BeIN, I suppose I should say alleged piracy although lets be honest I think it's fairly obviously real.
It's BeIN that's losing the money not the premier league and the vast majority of the losses are of BeIN's own making.

Could you explain why the FA prosecute small pubs In the U.K. for showing pirated games when it is Sky or BT that are losing revenue as opposed to the FA?
 
If this takeover doesn’t go through I am setting up a twitter account to share the best mag meltdowns which will be of epic proportions man has ever seen. If it goes through all social media is getting deleted and I will lose most of my interest in the game if we can’t even compete with the scum what is the point!
 
Well the broadsheets are going with imminent. My God they are going to be unbearable.....

Nevermind, we can console ourselves with scrapping around the bargain basement. I do find it astonishing that we are basically worth less than a Joelinton transfer deal when you take into account fees, wages etc....and he is wank by the way.

This is going to be a difficult period for our supporters. Keep your chins up, we will hopefully have our day in due course.

I don't know, did you mean the FA or did you mean the premier league?
I would have thought it would be a joint thing between the Pl and the broadcaster. The broadcaster has a a vested interest as they are losing money and the premier league would have a vested interest to maintain the value of the product. I'm not a lawyer though so don't know the legal ins and outs.

One thing for sure is the battle between Saudi and Qatar and the piracy of BeoutQ will increase the value of the Middle Eastern Premier league package not devalue it as BeIN will still be bidding for it when it comes up for sale again and the Saudi's and the other Arab countries that are against Qatar will be bidding against them. It will be a bidding war that will have the Premier League thinking ching ching
