The best supermarket red wine

Tried this last night and would highly recommend for a supermarket shelf wine:

Really nice drop and a bargain at under a tenner (on offer can be bought for around 7 quid).

Feel free to post your recommendations.

It is a nice bottle for the money. I would also recommend the following:

You can get both for around the £6 mark.

Thats one of my favourites too. The first mouthful is always so delicious.

I've just discovered Trivento Malbec, currently on offer in Tescos for £6. A very nice red wine.

Just finished a case of 6 from Costco (not all in one go!) - mmmm nice.

I'm a bit of a fan of Portuguese wines - Aldi have a very drinkable Douro Red - it's usually around £5 which is seriously good value for money.

I am usually an Aldi wine man with Duoro or Red Zinfandel from Aldi but been trying to support local (local to me not you) businesses, a few of which will struggle to get through this. This particular one is absolutely outstanding...potentially one of the best reds I had, aside from real top draw French ones.

With a certain app you can get the convicts to tell their story and have you noticed that the corks have different crimes listed.

I agree it is a fine drop of red and a good buy when money off

If you want a nice red wine cheapish - try a South American Malbec and an Italian Valpolicecella.

Edit - don't forget a Claret.
